I ordered this 84012-60B20 part for the MTS it says it will be in by the 8th. I’ll update everyone on how it works in the 1958.

Well sorry everyone spoke to soon. They emailed me and stated the part is on national back order. So I’ll have to search for a different outlet if I want to proceed.
Haha yeah. That’s the other problem. It seems that many things from Toyota are on national back order.
I assume parts like these are imported from Japan, so maybe they stopped importing.

I just stopped by the Toyota dealer and found someone who would work with me. After some digging he did verify with me that 84012-60B20 is the correct part number. However I didn’t place the order because he couldn’t match the price that was through their own website. Said it had something to do with reimbursement. So I’ll order online when I get home.
Confirmed that there is a back order and no eta. But he is assuming that if the order gets placed eventually fulfillment will review it and ship out. We also saw that Lexus has the same part number, but oddly it came with an even greater subassembly that was several thousand dollars.

This should be correct. I found this VIN JTEAACAJ4RK005807 for a complete equipment.
The part number is 8401260B20.

Still no fulfillment
Just giving a heads up that there is still no update from Toyota on getting the part.
I ordered a part from my local dealer as well. They gave me an eta of two weeks. This was last Friday. I’m not hold my breath on it but will see!
I called the dealership this morning. They are giving me an expedited arrival week of the 23rd.
I just got an email that the part has been shipped.
The saga is close to finally reaching its conclusion!
Haha finally. Just wish Toyota wasn’t so bad with fulfillment. I’ve seen those windshield threads quite a bit go in forever.
The LC250 is also manufactured in China. My attempt to order spare parts from China was also unsuccessful. Toyota does not allow this to be done independently in either Japan or China. However, this part is sold on eBay. And the seller is Chinese

Alright everyone. I just got the part in like 30 mins ago. Got it plugged in and everything on the unit works except the MTS button. I made sure I did the correct steps to be able to use MTS, it just doesn’t illuminate and on the switch no activate in the menu like was see in the manual.
Maybe a software disable that possibly a tuner can look in to?
