Correct, it worked perfectly fine as tested by multiple owners of the Land Cruiser 300.
If the car is equipped with DAC&CRAWL system then the MTS will work but it will not work if the car is not equipped with dac&crawl function as it was also tested by the LC300 owners group.

I believe if your car has DAC&CRAWL system than you'll be able to enable MTS by only adding its corresponding button.

If your car doesn't have DAC&CRAWL system than MTS will not work even if you add the buttons for it.

The dealer keeps avoiding my question in getting the part with the mts button. Part has been shipped back to them but they haven’t received it yet.

Because mod selection is on the dashboard screen, multimedia screen has no selection function, only the display changes based on what is selected on the dash. You can turn off the multimedia screen and MTS still works.

Yes, that's partially true. But it lets you see the mts option without the dash screen. A replacement multimedia would have been the solution for 1958.

I look at my neighbor in the parking lot. He drives carefree with Missouri plates and his car is far superior to mine. he has no problem with mts

But LX570 also has MTS selector on dash screen, as shown below. What I am unsure about is if the small screen on LC250 has the built in capability to display MTS selection.

I`m interested in this issue. I have looked at many regions on the internet where LC250 are sold. I haven't seen a single mts variant with a minimal screen on the dash like we have

We had two low-spec options in Slovenia called Active and Limited which had small displays and there was an option to add MTS for 350€. These options were removed from sale few months ago.
