What’s the Most Overlooked Upgrade on the LC250?

Stumbled across some GX550 lighted side step for the 1958 for $100 on marketplace. Now to figure out if I can get the lights to work? Not a big deal that they don’t work but something to do. Now I have to search for the vehicle harness and see if I even have one. Not cutting or splicing into anything……

We are eventually want Westcott slid RS but these will do u til that time comes. Doing a bathroom remodel so boom there went any Land Cruiser and 67 Camaro budget….LOL.

I think for 1958 owners the didode dynamics fog light kit when on sale is a outstanding upgrade. I like the amber DRL and when it is off they look more stealth in the bumper vs the bulbous factory lights. The output is impressive with noticeably better side of the road coverage. Driving to NEK Vermont today so I will have a chance to test them out tonight! I will grab some pics.

There are several similar styles and brands, but this is the one I chose on Amazon and am happy with it so far. It's even taken a minor impact from a car and saved my bumper...

That’s a recorded kill for removing it.
Pretty sure you only get 1/2 of a kill for doing a black overlay on it…

So when you put auto high beams on - diode dynamic fogs and low beam is brighter and much wider peripheral light than high beam

That looks phenomenal. The lighting color is a good match too! We've gotten nothing but super positive feedback on the Diode Dynamics fogs we've sold so far!

Minor, but for the LCLC (and probably 1958)...

• interior light for the rear hatch door (cheap and easy to install and hugely useful esp in winter months)
• magnetic phone charger that plugs into front USBC port (this was literally the only feature from the Premium package that I wanted, and it cost $20 instead of ~$6000 or so)

My 2025 LC 1958 came with the interior light for the rear hatch door, I believe it was an option.

Yep, it's an option and apparently somewhat of a pain in the ass for those that didn't get it to install themselves from what I've seen. Luckily both mine and my wife's 1958s both came with the rear hatch lights.
