What’s the Most Overlooked Upgrade on the LC250?

Sound deadening has been a good one for me. You can't show it off after you install it like other mods, but it does improve everyday driving.

Have you increased the sound deadening of the vehicle. We run diesels in Australia and I’m sure I’m driving a tractor by the sound of it.

The issue I experienced with the RAV4 knob is that when tapping it to turn off the radio, it gets stock and resets the radio…. Anyone else?

Did you remove the backing on it? Won't fit right if you leave that back piece on.

I did not because I don't use the mount as a primary charging method. Due to the amount of time that my phone spends there, with the charging cable either plugged or not, I prefer a lower aperage for the sake of battery health. I do plan to run it to the back of the console, but that is more of a cable management preference as it relates to the console area.

The thing I am really involved in over-engineering out right now is a semi-permanent/ruggedized/OEM-lite extension of the "3rd row" USB-C ports up into the 2nd row. I have a Bison Gear cargo system that closes off the cargo area 99.9% of the time (Girl Scout dad here, so cookie season always makes me open it up). Those rearmost ports are just a wasted resource I intend to fix.

FWIW, I get a net positive charge effect w/ my phone on the slower front ports while running maps and podcasts over my 80 miles of daily commute. It’s definitely sufficient.

Changing my #1 LC wish into needing a LARGER GAS TANK.
Land Cruiser would almost the perfect vehicle with a 28-32G tank (& pine tree air freshener).

Just changed a 22G to a 32G on my ‘25 Tundra & it wasn’t that bad of a DIY mod. That truck is now so much better towing & traveling machine.

Minor, but for the LCLC (and probably 1958)...

• interior light for the rear hatch door (cheap and easy to install and hugely useful esp in winter months)
• magnetic phone charger that plugs into front USBC port (this was literally the only feature from the Premium package that I wanted, and it cost $20 instead of ~$6000 or so)

This just got me to thinking, would the 4 Runner Trail Hunter plastic panel interchange? I don’t need an air compressor personally but I gotta wonder if those plastics would even fit? Roof line in the Land Cruiser is higher but the plastic might meet up at the window??

This hitch slider has been great little mod for me. No more dragging the hitch receiver on steep inclines, and even stopped a car from damaging my bumper because they bumped into the hitch slider first.

I assume the trail hunter uses the same compressor as in the GX. I saw a review on YouTube that the compressor is very slow.
