Potential Fire Issue

Same thing just happened to me.. The common theme seems to be rain and driving over big puddles. This has really undermined my trust in the truck. I hope it's not a design issue. Couldn't turn on ACC power without gasoline spilling out of the side, which made the whole towing experience quite an ordeal (fire dept had to get involved). Car was towed over the weekend. Waiting to hear back once someone looks at it.

Mine was assembled in Tahara for those interested ;)

It's been confirmed that the hard-line got disconnected. Here are a few snapshots from a video I received. The fuel-line connector is on top of the tank, next to the heat shield.

Just FYI but I haven't stopped blasting thru deep puddles - and it hasn't had any issues since that first time.

Great to hear! I'm planning to continue as well :) The dealer notified Toyota and they deemed the vehicle roadworthy as long as there were no further leaks after the orange clip was secured.

Thanks for sharing pictures, anything that preventatively can be done?

Yes! If you're changing the oil and under the truck anyway, I would make sure that the orange "buckle" is secure and all the way around the connector (like in the picture). According to the mechanic, mine was popped out and hanging loose.
