Just got it. Packaging was top notch. Plumping looks great, OEM quality. Tank itself, welds look professionally done. Couldn’t be happier with product. Decided to have my local Toyota Dealer install it, service manager is going to work with me on the labor, they want to see if it’s a service they can offer thru parts and service. Drop it off Thursday morning and get if Friday morning.

I'd suggest you ask if a EVAP (or what ever the proper name is) vacuum test will be conducted to ensure everything is sealed up tight. That test would have saved me lots of cussing.......lol
Last night was the first time (3rd fill up I’ve done) I ran DTE all the way to zero and I was shocked to get 28.65 gallons before the auto kick off.
11.88 aux tank+17.9 main tank=29.78
I’m shocked I was down to just over a gallon. Wonder if I am getting a little more fuel in the filler necks or if the DTE just a little wonky.
What’s everyone else seen who’s installed the 12 gal tank?

Got it installed and picked her up, first fill up was 24.76 gallons. Folks in service department were in awe how good the quality was, raved about the welds, the whole kit quality. Will see how it goes, no leaks no fumes, very happy customer.

Unfortunately, I've got a dash full of error messages and one DTC P107b = Fuel rail pressure sensor (low) / fuel rail "B" signal stuck in range.
Which I'm hoping is an issue with the electrical extension that comes with the kit. As soon as the rain quits, I'll trouble shoot the wires/plugs.
Update: The extension wires for the relocated fuel pressure sensor all tested "good". What a PITA that was! Being this is the 2nd time this DTC has appeared, I might have to bite the bullet and schedule a dealer visit, as I can not determine if it's the sensor on the fuel rail or the tank pressure sensor and the parts are in excess of $100 bucks each. I have one last trick to try before I see if it's covered under warranty. Last time (before the tank installation) a spirited highway drive made the DTC go away.

Now in the old days we would change fuel filter once yr, what’s one’s thoughts on this fuel filter? Also if any hasn’t installed or is getting ready to, can u take dia and length measurements (or see if there is any info that would help one find a suitable replacement). I forgot to ask the tech or do it myself when I got it. Be greatly appreciated.

That's a very common filter sold at WalMart and many other generic auto part stores. My concern is if the FK filter's port size is metric etc......
At some point I'll pop one of the lines off, a simple squeeze release, and see if that filter fits.

This is a common inline fuel filter, not a special custom one.
The size is 5/16 inch, which is the same as 7.89 mm. It has male quick-connect fittings on both ends.
When you need to replace it, you can ask a local auto parts store for:
a 5/16 inch inline fuel filter with male quick-connect fittings on both ends
Just make sure it is for gasoline use, and that both inlet and outlet are 5/16 inch quick-connect style, not the hose-barb type.
No issues other than they are not DOT approved

You will effectively void the warranty for any fuel pump related issues. It may void the warranty, there's an argument as to how, concerning the EVAP canister. Basically, if you or anyone else modified it, Toyota has an argument that it's not in an OEM configuration and that's what caused a failure. It doesn't matter if it was a Toyota tech, local shop or yourself that did the modifications. Normally it's just the modified part that's voided, but there is merit for downstream components being affected and also not covered by warranty.
With the FK Aux tank install, it relocates the low side fuel pressure sensor, replaces the fuel crossover manifold, modifies the fuel pump plumbing and adds several fuel system quick disconnects. If any of those fail, they most probably will not be covered under warranty. The fuel injectors/fuel line from the OEM tank would be covered as they were not modified etc.......
I Didnt ask the question, but can when the Service Manager gets back from vacation.

They are pretty easy to release and are standard on Toyota and other similar manufacturers. They are basically a plastic "U" that captures the lip on the metal fuel line. The problem is they aren't very beefy and can be easily broken if forced and it takes a bit of force to get them to start moving........... once the housing is removed from the metal line, the clips are supposed to be captured by the housing, but they do slip out of the grooves in the housing and will separate from the housing. If they separate, you have to understand how they fit back into the grooves or you might break or deform them. The reason that's an issue........... is ...... replacements are unobtanium. I've found some red ones and a few blue ones available on the web. But The violet, gray and green ones..... probably a salvage yard or buy the entire line just to get the keeper.
