I’m not sure what the benefit of those are(?). 🤔
I use mine primarily for ventilation....... Leaving the windows cracked on hot days, while out and about exploring nature. With an added benefit of preventing rain from pouring in, should that happen when I'm on a walk about.

(and they look cool)

Pretty much same here. I’m in the PNW and it rains a lot.

I'm in Alabama it gets Africa hot (even Tarzans' in the shade), occasionally it drops down to just hot. It does rain here, nothing like the PNW, but just enough to make the hot miserable! 😜

Added LC puddle lights to all 4 doors. Install took less than a minute.

Edit: Also blacked out the Toyota logo and got a LC plate frame.

Mounted rocket box for ski season (Too early?;)).
It’s gonna be tight after I mount the 275/70r18 Hakkas on there.

TL;DR

Three days ago, I changed the oil in Miss Daisy, using 0W-20 MOBIL 1 ‘Hybrid Oil’ (oil for hybrids), and then gave her a bath.

Two days ago, I drove 2+ hours to the dealer that I purchased her from for her 15,000 mile service. Left Miss Daisy in the service department’s capable hands and walked into the parts department desk to pick up some parts that I ordered. Only one part was there. The red piece of plastic that goes over the POS battery terminal. The other part didn’t come in yet, though the day before they assured me it would be there the next day. No big deal.

I went to sit down, and the service writer walked over and told me they were finished with Miss Daisy. We walked over to the computer, and he informed me that they had CHANGED THE OIL. Then proceeded to tell me that I did NOT come in for the free 10,000 mile service which included an oil change, which could void my factory warranty. I WAS SHOCKED.

I told him that I came in for the 10,000 mile service several month’s earlier, the day after I changed the oil at home. At that time, I told the service manager (over the entire department), that I had changed the oil the day prior, but brought her in for the other stuff listed in the manual for the 10,000 mile service. Back then, I asked the service manager if I showed him the video of Miss Daisy squealing while backing out of the carport, would that suffice for them to order the parts in for me to bring her back for the Brake TSB. He told me that had the parts, and could do the TSB repair right then if I wanted. AWESOME!!! I also asked about the tire noise (wawawawawa going down the road) from the Michelin LTX tires. He walked over and felt the tread, and said that it was cupped, and he would do a free front end alignment for me. AWESOME again. So I went over and took a seat, chatting with my girlfriend. An hour or so later, Miss Daisy was all fixed up, and they brought her out. My GF and I loaded up and headed over to her sister and brother in law’s so we could take them out to supper.

So, two days ago, after the service writer guy told me I had voided my warranty by missing the Toyota 10,000 mile service (which included the oil change) I calmly informed him that I had changed the oil at 1,300 miles, plus the day before each service (5,000, 10,000, 15,000) and had engine oil analysis performed on each of the four samples, so I could prove that I had not neglected Miss Daisy. I also told him that when they did the brake TSB and front end alignment several months earlier, they the entire reason for that visit WAS the 10,000 mile service, which according to their computers, HAD NOT BEEN PERFORMED… He then told me that the engine oil analysis would be proof to Toyota that proper care had been provided for the engine.

WHAT A CLUSTER…

Yesterday, I washed MIss Daisy again, then used a synthetic clay (Griots) on Miss Daisy, and then did a hand rubbed ceramic wax (Griots) on her. That stuff is easier to use than the wax I used 45-50 years ago. Now she shines like a new nickel!!! I will probably do touch ups with the liquid ceramic spray (Griots) every 6 months moving forward.

Tomorrow,… I hope to remove the FE ‘noise generator’ and ‘air brake’ from the roof..

I’m glad this weekend is over..

I need one of those.. 🤔
I held off for months because everyone said it was so small. It is. It won’t fit a phone even my earbud case, but was a perfect fit for my wallet, which is actually why I wanted it, so it worked for me. There was plenty of room for them to make it wider and deeper, not sure why they made it this small.

Do you happen to have the part number for these?

Visor Set Window - Toyota (08162-60840)

Looks like these are now discontinued unfortunately, getting one from Toyota dealer might be really tough/impossible

I think it's great! I have one in my Taco that states "Turns On Something", I find it hilarious....... my daughter thinks "Dad your too old for that"...... LOL
I'm familiar with that look...

Did something a bit silly, and really too expensive for what it does. But, I’m happy with it and I won’t accidentally grab the wife’s key in the mornings anymore. It also feels much more substantial. Yes, I have a thing for orange. Yota Xpedition fob replacement HERE

CORRECTION: it is AJT DESIGN’s fob replacement sold on Yota Xpedition.
