I’ve been enjoying my LC 250, and one thing I really appreciate about this vehicle is how it balances everyday comfort with that rugged Land Cruiser feel. It’s practical enough for daily driving but still gives you the confidence to take it on an adventure when the opportunity comes up.

I’m curious how other owners are finding theirs. What has surprised you most about owning the LC 250? Have you kept yours mostly stock, or have you started making upgrades?

Would love to hear everyone’s experiences, especially from those who have owned theirs for a while.

I'd agree, it's a perfect middle ground. I've run other purpose built off-road trucks and stuff before I switched into this, those vehicles while great for off-road, they really remind you in an unpleasant way when you're on the road. I've done quite a few mods, but what's neat is that the LC really doesn't take much to be an off-road beast, but it feels wonderful on the road.

I'll probably keep this until the next LC iteration.

I'm really liking mine. It has been everything I'd hoped it would be. I'm a huge fan of both the 3rd gen 4Runner and the L322 Range Rover, as different as both of those are. This bridges the gap nicely without feeling like I'm driving a computer on wheels. It's flawed, but I can't think of a new car that's currently on the market that I would enjoy more without spending significantly more.

It’s a wonderful vehicle in stock condition, both on and off road. Before doing any modifications, if you want to drive it off road, get into some 4wd classes to learn the capabilities. Then anything you add is meaningful.
If you want modifications for just looks, then knock yourself out.

70K+ smiles so far. I'm 50 and it's the first car I've purchased without having to use the warranty. Then again I'm coming from a long line of BMWs and Mercedes, so I guess that's not saying a lot.

My dealer initially tried to talk me out of the LC, said it would be the Toyota problem child and start having BMW/Mercedes issues at 20K miles, I’m extremely glad I ignored him.

Fell for that years ago. Wouldn't you know it the one he was recommending was what was on the lot that day.
