How does it ride? do you Off road I've been thinking about Dobinsons abit.Well not today, but end of last week. Wanted to drive it a few days so I can speak about it a bit. They took photo and added some details. It was a year of thinking...researching...learning about suspensions, tires, and all the details that come with it, when you want it done right. Add to that a 2 day stay 250 miles away. I have a good wife because she is still with me after 1 year of deep dive research on suspension, wheels, offset, tires, etc etc!!

The ride is really good - I would say a touch firmer than stock but I also have the settings turned up a bit for better ride on the road. And with that said, these Dobinsons MRR's have so many settings I think it is going to take me a while of playing around with it. But right off the dime it is very smooth.
It rides very good. It is different - it has changed the truck entirely. You sit pretty high so this takes a while to adjust to. But as for ride it is slightly firmer than stock at the moment. The tires do make a touch more noise than the 265/70/18 Nitto Grapplers.
I have off roaded mildly for years, but never modified anything so this is a first. I look forward to doing some more advanced stuff soon.
I wanted quality suspension lift that would not need much maintenance, no re-build anytime soon, and ability to change settings. I cross my fingers Dobinsons will offer this. I figure they are huge in Australia and they push their trucks hard, so must be something to them.

I don't know what people who criticize it are talking about. It drives like a dream to me. And has such capabilities off-road. So just wanted to maximize those, without losing its on-road prowess.
And I will say, yes the MPGs dropped from approx 21 mpg to 18 with these Toyo AT III at 34.8" and 2" lift, and this bummed me out for.... a day maybe.
All sensors, cameras, and assisted driving functions work the same. The power really does not feel any different. Maybe ever so slightly, maybe.
Anyway, loving it so far and looking forward to using it on some trails soon.

2” lifted + 35” tires is about right from performance and look / proportion. >3”/37” requires many major stuffs but still durable.I’m glad to hear that you are happy with “real lift kit”.

Nothing to “concern”, but a “trade-offs” for “other good benefits”
• MPG will be dropped because of heavier, more traction, and taller “brick”
• max 35” tires: no impact noticed as my own experience. Greater than 35” tires probably impact drive train … re gear is strongly recommended.
If you don’t do any “intermediate-heavy” off-road, just keep yours in stock.

My plans are surf fishing with the LC. Nothing to heavy. Like to leave it stock.
Once I started using those black traps..I have never been able to go back to the cheap wooden ones.
Installed a switch to turn off the liftgate lights (inspired by EOD Guy). I had everything wired up but couldn't figure out why the lights wouldn't turn on, checked all the connections, flicked the switch still no light. Re wired everything, still no light. looked up and saw the carabiner in the latch. That is how I turned a 45 minute project into 2 hours.

It seems the “turbo” one is available for the GCC market only?
I didnt purchase it online, I got it from the local dealer, I tried to look for it online but I only found the “modellista”..

I'd also like to know where you can get these. Those two squares are apparently magnets for small rocks. I have one parking sensor wrecked by a rock and the other side was also hit by a rock less than a 1/4 inch from a parking sensor and chipped the paint off.
