How do the Dueler’s do in the snow/ice conditions?I did 2 mods that have worked well for me ... went from 20's to 18's w/ Bridgestone Dueler Ascents and the Rear Shelf ... great way to store stuff out of the way ... tow straps, umbrella, dog towels, etc.
Box stock, tires are the only thing you need to do. Toyota already nailed everything else! It's been a couple of years since we've had our LCs more or less and we have done a few things to our rides.
So my question is what is your favorite mod so far?
No lists ranking things, choose one, and no speculation on what would be nice.
Part of it is for you having used this mod and seeing what your experience is with it.
I have thought about this and have my list and still thinking of my favorite, tough call.
I'm going on a 3 hour drive to decide on mine and post it later.
This is mostly what I wanted to be sure of. If they work well for me in snow and ice, I will be selling my extra set of five 18” OEM wheels with Michelin Ice tires, which are an excellent riding tire and very quiet. But in the mean time, I search for the best inflation pressure..I've found the Ascents work well in the snow, although I have not had them in anything really deep (>12 in). On a couple of spring trips I went through 6-8 in of old snow on forest service roads with no problem. I have not experienced much ice yet, so I won't comment.
