🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

Hello there! Dont you go to your official dealership to do the maintance while warranty is valid? Who do you know the miles checklist for the service? Thanks!
¡Hola!

The only time my LC goes to the dealership is if it has a recall. Which has been once so far. There is another recall notice, but I am hoping that they will be able to do this remotely so that I won't have to go to a dealer again.

I order parts online (like filters etc..) at an official Toyota dealer and document when I perform service. Which so far only has been oil/filter changes and lubrication and torquing bolts.
If I run into a job that is above my skill level, I will bring it to an independent shop I trust.
I use @BMFS33 maintenance schedule, which works great !

I honestly believe that the warranty is is a low risk thing for Toyota. I doubt that things will go drastically wrong during the 36 months or 60,000 km period. And if it does, I am pretty sure I can prove that the LC has been sufficiently maintained because I go beyond what Toyota expects you to do. I don't think that Toyota can deny warranty because you did not use an official Toyota dealership for basic maintenance. I am sure others here can chip in.

There was a Christian Slater movie from the nineties with a quote that stuck with me.

"Never trust a bald barber. He has no respect for your hair."

Same with dealerships. The first time, the technician crashed my brz into a wall, and had to replace the front bumper, misaligning the clips in the process. Then another time, they lifted the car on the quarter panels, not the pinch weld and had to replace those too. I did get a Subaru Bose speaker out of the deal and an apology.

Simple StickerFab flag install over that ridiculous blue circle -
Means something to me!

Welcome to the asylum.

What brand of wheels and size are they? Truck looks terrific!

Method 703s 35mm offset and KO3s 265/70r17
Look Sweet, pretty much the look I'm going for!
How much poke do you have and what Load rating did you get? I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a set of Black rhino Kuma rims that are a +25mm with that same tire in a C load. Just want to make sure I'm not loco.

Went for a drive today. First pics with the tint and rear side window stickers.

Added the After market full skid plates from Toyota this weekend. Easy install. Not for hard rock crawling by any means but fire roads and decent size stick deterrent. Also got the Slee heavy duty radiator cross member.

Great setup.

Getting tires (K03) balanced for the 3rd time. Grrr. First time after install, it was bad. Second time they road force balanced them. They start to lightly bounce in the 50 mph range up until almost 65. Smooth at/around 68 mph, but you hit 71 and up and it starts again. May have to live with it if they can’t get it any better. Last time I had this much trouble was with the Taco stock wheels back before Toyota acknowledged the problem and recommended they be balanced with a Haweka Adapter.

I had a set of michelins like this, spent hundreds trying to get them to balance. What a pita. Ended up replacing them to avoid destroying the vehicle. Maybe bfg will warranty them. Michelin didn't.

They just told me they are out of balance. So either they still messed up last time, or maybe it threw a weight. No off road use yet (waiting on RCI skids to arrive), so definitely didn’t lose a weight from branches/rocks.

I've been through that before, only with one particular tire, and finally I demanded the pull the tire off the rim and of course there was water in it. If there's water in there they'll physically never be able to achieve permanent balance.
