Had 30k service done at local independent. Transmission, xfer case, diffs and brake fluid change. They did lube prop shafts and tightened bolts among a few other things. I went with dot 5.1 brake fluid and don't notice any difference in feel. Dot 3 is stock fluid btw. Cost was $1900, all oem toyota fluids, minus the brake fluid. Labor rate is $200/hr.
I have always done maintenance and repairs myself over past 30+ years, and now I remember why, expensive!! I want to keep my life time powertrain warranty, so a certified place has to do the work.
Now I'm thinking that cost of having a reputable shop do the maintenance will cost more than an engine or trans replacement in the long run, ive already spent nearly 3k having others do the maintenance (i dont trust the local toyota dealer with anything beyond selling me parts). Might be the last time I pay for service.

Added a DMOS Compact Delta Shovel and Universal Mount on the rear molle panel.
