Yup, it’s a 1958, and I love it. It’s my favorite vehicle I have owned till date. Super comfortable, simple interior, no sunroof (I had them leak on me in the past). Love the retro headlights. It’s perfect for my needs and as my daily driver.

It’s the one I’m thinking of getting. Just been learning about them and getting mods ready just in case. How is it as a daily driver?

Very comfortable as a daily. Wind noise is expected from the box shape but you learn to tune it out. Go give it a test drive and see if it fits you.

retrieved mine from the detail shop where they ceramic coated it. Wanted to take it home and put it in one of those inflatable bubble things. They did an amazing job

Thanks Purchased these and then thought they might be to gaish, so ordered a set of white lettered Heritage caps which got lost in shipping. Installed these and liked them.

In fact, I wish I could ask a Toyota engineer why the trim is designed the way it is and if that rubber piece is going to negatively effect the way water runs/drains

I wonder if the extra room is for when the Prada is up-armored with thicker bullet proof glass(?)

Accessed the battery to top off the tire pressures (cold snap) and broke the terminal cover.

I’ve never done that..

Woah, that looks amazing! Is it an easy drop in part for the door hing and does it keep the same locking/unlocking functionality? I'm a sucker for such neat things like this.

Thanks! Same here! Yes, keeps the same functionality. Easy install. Slightly more involved though. This is a door/hinge assembly. Really high quality part. You remove the door and hinge by punching out the two rivets holding the oem door/hinge assembly on. Drill out the holes slightly to accommodate an M5 rivnut that holds on the new door/hinge. Then secure with 2 M5 bolts. The oem door assembly has what looks like a rubber gasket on the latch that the lock/unlock pin holds onto when the door is closed. That, I assume has a magnet/sensor in it that tells the truck when the door is open/closed. That part pops off the old door and onto the new and then you're done! No fault codes and fits perfectly. I fell in love with the look after catching a glimpse of it on a Japanese LC250 Instagram page and tracked it down on the gram and messaged the owner to have him ship one out to me. They now sell and ship international from their site I believe (when in stock).

Thanks for the information, I'll have to see when it come back in stock and maybe I'll do it. The only gotcha that would keep me away is the drilling part. After doing the snorkel back on my old '97 and cutting into the fender and having lots of fun (read: living nightmare...) of that, I'm so nervous to ever drill or cut into anything on my car. It the same thing with the gas hood struts lots of folks have posted on here, I'd love to do them but I just can't get over the drilling part haha. But none the less I absolute love seeing the pictures and information the blue cap really give me a sporty vibe to it!

I also installed the rubber windshield trim today. I don't care if it doesn't help reduce wind noise. It looks better than the old gap.

It’s probably fine. Try it out (leave the cover on the tape to practice) and see if you think it’s too cold. Also practice is good to get a feel for how far down under the cowl they go.

I haven't experienced the issue myself but I'm getting the recall for the rear view camera freezing issue done Monday morning. After it's done, if anyone is interested, I'll report what was done and the time it took. The service tech writer said it was just an update, no physical parts replaced.

At the dealership this morning (to buy two ridiculously expensive intake filters for the wife’s bus) I was “reminded” of the OEM roof rack slat I’d ordered just before furlough. I forgot about it, so it’s been sitting there for over 3 months. Installed and wondering how this was ever installed/sold without it in the first place.
