T-Slot hardware solutions for the FE OEM rack - Is anyone putting anything up there???

Thanks for all this info, I left on a trip the day after, so wasn't able to monitor this, some great solutions here!

Has anyone mounted anything to the slanted sides of the FE rack? The stock holes/slots look like they were designed for something specific, and yet I'm a bit wary of how much weight the flimsy-ish slanted metal can hold. Thinking about trying to mount the Kammok mount ball on the side.

Also, has anyone discovered a solution for a Hi-Lift Jack?
Curious about the side mounting as well. Kinda doubt anything of substantial weight can be mounted. I just put my rack with extra crossbar on day before yesterday and am on the road the next couple of days. I’ll be mounting a Plano case, traction boards, maybe hi-lift in the coming days. 3/4” carriage bolts drop in and fit perfectly in the rails. I’ll be using varying length bolts, washers and nuts to mount stuff.

I routed mine through the existing rubber boot at the top of the hatch. Details are on my build page.

how did you route the coax for the WeBoost?
I’ve just run mine down the rubber sealing of the rear door. It’s not hidden for about 3 inches on the top of the vehicle. But it works for my purposes.

Here's some links to hammer nuts and stamped square washers options. All are around 18-20mm in width which should still fit w/in the channel and provide a large contact area with the t-slot rail.

I carried water Rotopax on the the Tacoma's cap rack using some 3D printed mounts. Along with 3D printed QuickFist mounts. Just found the box that I threw all of them into after removing them before selling the Tacoma's truck cap. Going to move them over to the LC.

Did you ever mount a Hi-Lift jack? Curious about options.

To mount MaxTrax MKII boards to the OEM FE rack, I've used the MaxTrax Universal Flat Rack mounting kit. It includes various T-bolts, channel nuts, washers, etc. as well as two adjustable-placement (plastic) plates that attach to the cross bars. Also included is a set of mounts (for MaxTrax boards) that attach to the plates.

I have another set of boards (non-Maxtrax) that I'm still trying to find a secure mounting method for. Looks like long T-bolts plus hand tighteners (with embedded nuts) may work, but I'm not sure yet.
