Insurance Poll

Northern California, comprehensive, max coverage, $1,062.84 per year. Seems consistent-ish with everyone else here

My wife and I are looking to move to BC, would you be willing to share what you pay and what province you live in?
$2000 /year in Ontario. You may need a third-party anti-theft device (eg. immobilizer or engraved parts) to get a good rate.

USAA in Southern California. $1000/6 mo. Glad to have them as our provider as they’ve been very easy to work with for home and auto. 20% of drivers in SoCal are unlicensed and uninsured so having good coverage is an absolute must as well as a good dashcam. No tickets, no accidents, multiple vehicles and home policy.

$300 collision deductible
$500k/1mil bodily injury with UIM
$300k property damage
$5k medical payout
GAP
Rental reimbursement
Etc

Progressive with zero deductible glass and 1K Comp/Collision deductible. $532 every 6 months. No other cars on this policy.

$600 yr on my 67 Camaro @85K stated value, zero deductible with American Standard if anyone has a classic to insure.

State Farm Mutual, $500 deductible Comp/Collision, maxed liability limits, 98 4R liability coverage in rural well-out-of-town IL for just under $1100/yr

2024 Land Cruiser: $1,456 Annually
2016 Porsche 911 Carrera: $1,146 Annually
2021 Toyota 4R: $973 Annually

Damn, guess I am going to have to get with my insurance lady. Selective Insurance
South Carolina
25 LC LC, $1757.00 per year
24 Venza $1322.00 per year

My progressive insurance went up about 70%, for no reason at all. I might have to start shopping around.

Always good to check your discounts are being applied correctly and to play around with price changes in increasing coverage. Sometimes increasing coverage can be a couple bucks a month and can be well worth it.

That's an enormous increase. That's why I switched I switched from Progressive on our houses to Farmer's for both.

Farmers is lower on the houses separately and I kept the cars with Progressive and Farmer's was higher for them.

It's worth taking the time to shop and don't hesitate to split different carriers for homes/cars/etc. That "bundle" marketing they've been touting for years now doesn't make a difference. The Insurance Co.'s just want to get you written for everything you own and once you're in, you won't leave.

Was at $3k/year with Geico for ‘24 LCFE and ‘24 Prius (wife, drives like 5k miles/year).

Just switched and bundled with my home insurance with American Family both cars are now $1,227., about $100 less if I pay annually, which I will. Could have saved another $100 or so if I let them monitor my driving (no thanks!).

Looks like we have lower rates than most. Wish I had bundled years ago, but better late than never.

St. Louis MO.

156 a month for the land cruiser and my diesel truck combined. . Excellent record. State-farm. $500 deductible and it also covers rental car coverage and some other stuff.
