Transmission Issues - is there a way to poll forum members?

I feel this is a good place to point this out since I have complained about annoying tranny quirks such confused shifting and clunky downshifts. Based on the advice from a member of this forum. I turned off my pedestrian alert setting and now the LC is an absolute pleasure to drive in town. I never had issues on the highway. No more fighting the car slowing down for no obvious reason. It has REALLY smoothed out the tranny and the driving experience. I made this change 3 days ago so it’s too early to know if it resolved the annoying tranny quirks.

I’ve wondered if some people are experiencing the same “quirks” as you have been (generally all of us)and take it to the dealer and pull an Arthur Spooner and “Demand to talk to the manager!”. In an attempt to satisfy a customer who has just spent $70k in their showroom the dealer agrees to take it in and file a claim. Obviously if your vehicle’s transmission is no longer propelling the vehicle or doesn’t change gears or having very hard shifting… that would warrant opening a claim. But it would be nice to know if it’s just a matter of several people unfamiliar with how these hybrid drivetrain's shift gears compared to the previous vehicles they have owned.

I believe it’s actually “Proactive Drivers Assist”. PDA. There are so many acronyms it’s hard to keep track.

My error in calling what I did. It’s called PDA. On the steering wheel, arrow down to settings and arrow over to the right until you see the car surrounded by parenthesis.

I disabled that on day one and my transmission is still very jerky especially when slowing down it seems to not know what to to and will suddenly go 3-1 or something.

Same. I don't understand how some of us are having different experiences.

I get that same jerky feeling at times when coming to a stop. It happens less frequently now with 14.6k miles. Low miles it happened a lot.
