Insurance Poll

USAA pay $564 for 6 months just for the new LC.. WA state. Multiple vehicles and home, no accidents, tickets, or claims.

My kids cars are double that same USAA.

State Farm-Colorado
LC 1958-$2250 yearly
'21 RDX base- $1600 yearly
Clean driving record, no accidents and over 45.
And this is "Bundled" with Home.

Guessing the fact I live in fire country has something to do with these high auto rates? (Our home insurance is surprisingly reasonable for where we live and associated home replacement value).

*Edit: I ran a quote from Progressive and I can insure both of our vehicles with the same coverage for $1000/6 months or just the LC for $529/6 months. So yeah, State Farm is ringing me out to dry. And in other news, the agent just told me they are going to double or triple our homeowners insurance this year, so that's fun.

While insurance can vary based on coverage, this is the coverage I have through Erie insurance. It comes out to $997 a year for me and my wife.

$1,900/year with Progressive. $50 deductible on glass and really good coverage all around. I'm in Michigan. Our insurance is more of a hybrid US/Canadian system. Makes it bad for premiums but really good if you ever get into a health changing accident.

I have been shopping. Progressive has by far been the best. $729 for 6 months for LCLC and Mercedes CLA 250 full coverage $500 deductible. LC only was $250 more with Geico and almost double with Farm Bureau which I have had for years with multi cars homeowners. I do want to check AAA but Progressive will be hard to beat.

$360 per year on a policy with 4 other vehicles. Progressive with $500 deductible. I have never had an accident in 63 years of driving including some wicked high-performance Audi's. Last ticket was decades ago. Apparently, the safety features have some value.

Any 2024 owners get dinged when their auto insurance came up for renewal, Canadians in particular? I'll likely be shopping around as a result.

Hi all, my car insurance is through Costco. Get further discount for having Executive membership. 2 drivers, myself and wife, 2 vehicles, Honda HR V and 2024 LCLC, I pay almost 300 a month

I live in FL so everything is inflated and half the people down here are driving without insurance. I have Full Coverage including Uninsured Motorist. Weekend Driver. $1,800 a year.

$1,121 per year for my 2025 LC 1958 from Liberty Mutual with $1,000 deductibles for both Collison & Comprehensive.

Michigan resident, 52 years old, clean driving record.

Newbie here, 1st post.

For those in CO, how are you getting your rates so low? It's rediculous the rates we pay in CO Springs. For the LC, it's under a commmercial policy so it is a bit different, but it came in at $3200/yr. Our personal cars, daughers (she's 18 so it's high) 2001 toyota solara, 2017 Nissan armada and 24 model Y equate to about $7k/yr

Use an Insurance Broker, they'll shop your info around for you to find the lowest rate. This is a big win as there's no spam from all the damn companies. Yes, they get a fee but you don't pay it, they get paid from the company they sign you up with.

I've used a broker for over 5 years now, changed states and I still go through the same one. We get rental insurance for our rental house we live in as well (Military, I move a lot). It's been so easy, I just email them once a year and have them shop me around to get the lowest rate.

Comparing insurance from one person to another is a fools errand, too many variables (age/sex/finances/residence/etc etc etc)

I used USAA for years when I was in the service, but fled the horrible experiences I had with them. Now have been with Progressive for about 15 years and am very happy. Price is cheaper than what I used to pay (and I get fresh quotes every few years), and the service when making a claim has been great so far.

I’m more so interested to know about rate increases after renewal. Because these vehicles are often stolen, especially in Canada, it seems like they’re jacking up the rates. Rates were reasonable for the first year because as a new vehicle to this market with no insurance history, insurance companies had no way to measure how high the risk was.
