Yesterday, I changed the oil and filter, and sent a sample off to SPEEDiagnostics. Today, I ordered five Bridgestone Deuhler AT Ascents from Costco, and picked up 4 spark plugs from the dealers parts counter (ouch), to be changed in a few days, by me.
Looks super Norway/Germany spec. I like it!
Good move... Bridgestone has been making excellent quality tires for over 100 years. Dueler AT's are one of thier best products. They perform and last.
I just hope that they are quieter than the OEM Michelin ATX's... And of course the 3PMSF rating is an added bonus.. I may sell my brand new Michelin Ice tires already mounted on OEM 18" LC wheels, if the Dueler's do well.
The Bridgestone Duelers AT Ascents have been working great for me so far after 10,000 miles of use. Quiet on the highway and great traction in the Michigan winter snowbelt.
265/70-18 tires and averaging 24+ mpg @ 70mph.
You will love them, my old rig over 20 years had 2 sets and they were the best tires ever. Quiet, durable and reliable. Highly recomend Bridgestone Duelers AT.

I bought them at a Costco, 90 miles from where I live, so you have to buy what they say that is specific for your rig. In my case, it was the tire shown below.. I’m assuming SL(?)
Today I changed Miss Daisy’s spark plugs. Like mentioned by another inmate, it took longer to gather up the tools, than to change the plugs. The LC plugs are much easier to change than the YouTube video previously posted on the T24A-FTS engine spark plugs indicates. There is nothing in the way to hinder the job. Just unplug the wires to the stick coils and do the job.
I used the OEM 90919-A1008 Toyota plugs, but in 40,000 miles, I will use the less expensive NGK DILZKAR8E7H.
I checked the gap in the new Toyota plugs. They were set at 0.027” from the factory, so I left them there. ALL of the plugs I took out were at 0.028”. 0.029” would not fit.
The plugs in my Ford Transit 3.5L Ecoboost were supposed to be changed at 90,000, but my fuel economy had fallen off so I changed them early, at 75,000 miles, and instantly gained back my 3.5 mpg.
The new Toyota plugs were torqued to 20nm, and the 8mm bolts that hold the stick coils in place were torqued to 7.5nm, as called for in the pdf previously posted by @Vermont in the “changing spark plugs” thread.
Then I filled up the wiper fluid reservoir and called it a day.
I’m still waiting for the SPEEDiagnostix oil analysis report, with will come within 48 hours after FedEx delivers the sample to them today.
I love being retired, but don’t like being old(er).

Did my 30.000 km service and followed the 15k miles checklist which includes replacing the front diff fluid. This is my 4th oil service and first diff service. The fluid came out clean with minimal shavings on the magnet.
I did a 30,000 mile service today also.
Engine oil and filter. Mobil 1/ 0w20
Air filter.
Grease propeller shafts.
Front/rear diff. valvoline 75w90
Transfer case. Redline MT-LV
5 tire rotation.
That redline for the transfer case is ultra thin, looks like kool aid. Diff oils came out fairly clean, the usual sludge on the magnets. While the skids were off I mended the plastic cover with loctite construction adhesive. I damaged it one spring, should have taken a picture cause I was effin mired in mud.

Added new cover for the Tow hitch area, better fit/look than the small factory one .

That's really cool. I didn't know about this one. I'm going to have to look into this more; might be exactly what I've been looking for.
I like it more than a full blown roof rack or cross bars it has five bars, but I left two off for now
When you installed did you slide the 2 screws/posts into the base first and then install from the bottom up and then give it a final hit at the top. Just know that’s how mine went in and had to give it that final hit to push it in. It’s not loose so must be installed tight. It looks like it may need a little heat to bend it back?
