29gal Main Fuel Tank Install

Anyone else order one of these? I went to the website and it says “store not accepting payments now” and their alibaba site has a minimum order quantity of 10.
Just ping them on their customer service page, they are very responsive.

Yes I ordered one recently. Just message them on their website and they’ll create a purchase link and an order for you through their Alibaba store site. Just follow the instructions from their support team and it’s pretty simple.

If you don’t mind can you share what you paid for freight to Kansas?

Seems sketchy honestly. Why is there a minimum purchase of 10 on Alibaba?

Has anyone ordered the auxiliary gas tank they sell? This seems pretty cool as the stock gauge will still work as designed.

I have not, but the guy shared their install video with me at one point. It’s most definitely more work than the main tank, as you have to drop the main tank make a small pump mod and the various connections, then remove some exhaust parts and the transmission support and what not to install the aux tank.
It’s doable with a lift or certainly with expert install, but I’d budget an entire day for it.
It is really cool to watch though to understand the way it goes together and what is happening to make the system work.
Because of the added complexity my choice was to do the main tank instead of aux tank plus oem. iMO the time I would do the aux tank would be if I was installing the main tank already and could do them both at the same time. Then you wind up with like 45 gallons and leverage the install time and cost.
Personally think it’s kick ass that there isn’t a separate pump, less is more.

I watched the video and agree it's a lot of work. Definitely more than just replacing the main tank. It would be cool if someone stocked these in the US (tariffs suck). Getting both tanks would provide crazy range!

My local Toyota Dealer, service manager wants to order thru parts department, so if someone else in the area wants to do it, the parts department can order it for them. I would be the test bed, I am going to go with their 16 gal aux, as then I would have a 33.9 gallons instead of 29. They will not be increasing the price to make money off the part, they want to be able to off the service to others, going to have them also do the installation, I dont for see anything happening for a week or so, will keep updating as things happen.
Hopefully have everything done and ready for Feb/Mar to start trout fishing trips/camping

Looking forward to hearing how this goes.

That sounds like a keeper dealer, few and far between these days!

I was thinking this too. I don’t know a single dealer around here that’ll do anything aside from OE replacement parts.

If all goes well might be worth a trip to SC to have this dealer install.

Is this Sparks? I’ll come down and follow your path on this if it is any dealer NOT Sparks lol.

One of the best online/youtube sources mostly for inspiration (there are occasional nuggets of useful knowledge) is Ed Martin Toyota and they are KITTING THESE LC’s OUT!
