LC 250 Hate = It’s REAL

Adaptive cruise control and LCA are useful but still have glitches that I find annoying. If I am coming to a place where cars are turning in a turn lane in front of me I cancel it until I pass otherwise my truck overreacts and hits the brakes to much. That is not anywhere near a self driving car. Which I for one will never be in. Call me a luddite, I don't mind.
I know what you mean, I learned this on my last car, but instead of canceling the CC I just gently put my foot on the gas pedal which will override the CC breaks. With a light touch drag will slow the car down and you can adjust from there. Then you can lift off the gas and the system will take back over without having to push any buttons on the wheel.

I found the LTA worked perfectly on I5, but doesn’t like certain sections of my daily highway commute… I keep my fingers lightly on the steering wheel when using it anyway, but I just disable LTA for those sections.

My only other real complaint is it isn’t always that smooth on curving roads — but otherwise it’s a fantastic feature to have. I feel like it reduces driver fatigue on longer drives.
