Not at all. Most days I find myself wearing my Garmin all day long. Don't have to worry about wearing it at the desk all day long or get it on the watch winder when I get home....…so you are saying I’ll have to upgrade my G Shock![]()

Welcome to the asylum.I purchased my 2026 Premium on March 30. Sticker was ~$71,900. I paid $67,500. This was an allotment, which was delivered on May 28.
As of a few months ago, the deals were still out there. The only caveats were: I went through a (relatively) high volume dealer, at the end of the month/quarter.
May I also submit that because it's a Toyota, it's got a little bit of Seiko Turtle in there. Perhaps not price wise relatively, but I'm hoping for Turtle reliability and longevity.I started a watch thread on this topic not too long ago. I've come to determine the Land Cruiser is a pleasant culmination of the following timepieces:
Rolex Explorer 40
Rolex SS Datejust 41mm black dial
Tudor Pelagos
Tudor BB GMT Pepsi
IWC Mark XX
IWC Pilots Chrono 41
I've never owned any Seiko dive watches. I just can't get over that goofy 4 O'clock crown position on many of their models. Why? Like the Omega Seamasters with the 11 O'clock enormous helium release valve. It's not necessary and looks offputting.May I also submit that because it's a Toyota, it's got a little bit of Seiko Turtle in there. I wouldn't do Ineos since they are an orphan and will likely be gone in a couple of years. The Sequoia is a sharp looking SUV with the right packages and color. My neighbor has a gray Platinum and it is sharp. Just too large for me without kids.I do frequently look at the Ineos and Sequoias, for they are my 3rd and 2nd choices.
....I'll keep my LC250 with self-destruct CV axles and no hood struts. She's the hottest looking vehicle on the road

I would use this guy, been watching his videos, we live in the same town and his operation is legit. This way I dont have to deal with dealers and their lies.
It's funny because I used to hate it until I wore it. Now it feels more out of the way and looks normal to me.I've never owned any Seiko dive watches. Yep
Exactly the case with both vehicles
No enios service prover writhing 1.5 hours from me. Sequoia is massive
It appears used 250’s are now going for MSRP in many cases, just like LEXUS GX500’s
They rank the 10 hardest get to vehicles in the U.S. in July 2026 based on "Days of Supply". #1, about 9 minutes in, the Land Cruiser.
If you are thinking of selling yours, I'd say now is the time. Interesting that the GX550 did not make the list.
Just a personal take from my perspective on why LC vs. GX550, at least for where I live: I think the Lexus appeals to "women of means", the brand/status of driving a Lexus, whereas more men don't care, or actually pivot the other way and want a more "blue collar" version (and yes, I recognize the irony of calling such an expensive Toyota model "blue collar").
If this video is to be believed, they are essentially sold out as of now. Pretty impressive two years in. My local Toyota dealer has almost no inventory of anything other than some Tundras.

I think most people that can afford a landcruiser are in a position to wait a few months for the new one. Why do dealers think we're so desperate and ignorant. Is it part of their training?I noticed that trend shortly after taking delivery of our LC250.
That is true for a number of Toyota models- "you can have this slightly used model immediately, or we can order a new one for the same price if you can wait 3-6 months."
Aggressive sales tactics are a norm, but not why I am responding. Yes, dealers think consumers are desperate and ignorant, because 9/10 consumers are desperate and ignorant. Just look at the squishy toy craze going on right now. People are very successfully scalping $2 silica toys for $20+.I think most people that can afford a landcruiser are in a position to wait a few months for the new one.
