🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

Installed the colfax campers platform over the weekend. Quality is top notch and super happy. Big piece of the puzzle for my CO trip coming up in a few months. Will be sleeping inside.
I'm the opposite setup of this Colfax where I have my bamboo table on the left side, love the system! I'm curious did you do anything special to get both your wing mounts to fold down flat without any force? I'm struggling to get my left side one down and I tired basically everything and it seems only one or the other is willing to fold fully flat.

Great setup!

I have the identical Colfax setup and completely agree on quality. They make a great kits that assemble quick and look great.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser 250 recently?
Gone my 1958 recently, and just put 275s (33”s) on it. Planning on getting red dome lights for interior and a prinsu rack with a pop up tent, an ARB bumper, and a jb4 tuner by burger.

This idea was inspired by @PurelyAbrasive. Found a backup camera at Walmart for under $25. Bought it to give it a shot to see if I can get a front bumber camera installed. Shocked that it actually works with my after market headunit and have the option to pull up the front cam independently similar to a wolfbox. I got the wiring all done for the interior. Next steps are to buy a longer power cord and figure out the mounting of this to the front oem slot. That might be enough tinkering for today before I break something lol. Does anyone know if I need to waterproof these connectors if it’s in my engine bay?

If you’re talking about the yellow RCA, yes. Moisture will build up anywhere in exterior use cases, even in an engine bay. Heat shrink is my advice.

Welcome to the asylum.

Why the red dome lights? 🤔

I didnt do anything special to get the wings to fold down. Just made sure to center the drawers, fold them so they are in the down position then drilled them in.
They rub a little folding down on the plastic interior but not a big deal to me.
Did you put them on backwards by chance? Almost did that myself.

Quality was a slight concern for me due to price. But the build quality matches goose gear, and the building experience was far superior compared to when I installed my goose gear stuff in my jeep. This setup costs as much as just the GG plate in the rear.

Thanks I’ll do that! Thinking out loud I might swap the camera I got for this one on Amazon. Smaller profile and have the option to make it a flush install. I could prolly drill into the mount cover where the oem slot is….maybe I should find the part number first to mess with the spare to be safe.

Interesting, I think first time I tried fitting them they were wrong, maybe they were correct. I'll give it a whirl taking them off and then swapping them and see if that helps, thanks for the suggestion and responding! I'm not too torn up with the left side being left up honestly because I can use it as a side brace and still access the cubby luckily. Absolutely love the Colfax and still blown away with it!

Glad to be here at the asylum. Well good question, I just simply thought the red dome lights were cool. But we’ll see. My babies might not like it. But I’m sure they’ll like the other mods while I decide.

Probably safer than LED's which emit blue light..

I saw these and just wanted thought on them… I haven’t bought them or put them in BTW.

Humble opinion here, but I think the first one in the classic script is trying too hard and doesn't quite fit the aesthetic of the 250. Though still not my cup of tea, the second one is much better.
