@turbo8 you mentioned you were getting more range in the GX vs the LC250. Now that you swapped the wheels and tires has that improved the overall range compared to the GX?

Appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
Yeah, the lighter tire and wheel combo did help. The estimated range jumped from 240 miles to 280 miles. I believe I have had 2 tanks in there since the switch.

I'll let you know how it goes when I get more miles on it.

Ah, what a color match.

Unfortunately, without modifications, the TRD pro hydraulic bump stops from the Tacoma don't fit. The upper part of the bump runs into the body.

Couple options:
Remake mount to make the bump sit lower and not raise ride height. I think I need atleast an extra inch.
This might limit bump travel.

Use a 1" spring spacers between frame and bump mount. Raises ride height and limits bump travel. Probably not safe

Cut holes in body, probably not room up there with the battery in the way. Might work on a non hybrid GX. Maybe older models too.

I don't think any of these are worth it though, I'll sell these to someone with a Taco.

In comparison, the Taco has al lot of room under the bed.

Tested out my bump stop brackets (see witness marks on lower arms) and skids while blasting through the desert.

Would you make a set of those bump stops for me? Would gladly pay you!
Did you remove your stock bumpstop brackets to clear different shocks?

I have the TRD Pro suspension setup like you just haven't installed it yet.
I would like to test them a little more. They would be around $1,000 for a set, unless I make them in quantities over 10, which they would be around $500 a set.

If anyone was curious, the OEM tank skid from the 6th gen 4runner doesn't fit.
The front portion of the tanks are different.

It might fit if, the 4runner gas tank is used as it looks like all the holes were lining up to existing threaded holes in the frame. Something I'm not going to do for an extra gallon.

Added the TRD rear recovery point, from the 4runner.

It bolted in, but need a quick plastic trim to fit.

Looks like the smaller hole is for a 7/8 pin bow shackle. The bumper trim will need more trimming to use that correctly.

Thanks for sharing. I have these and needing to install. Any issues other than trimming bumper in the rear?
Fronts go on without mods, rear just requires the little bumper plastic trim.

Front Tow Hooks (includes 2)

Ordered one yesterday, was $100-ish shipped. Great find. Always worried about how long these type of 'OEM+' parts will be available. Should be standard on the LC 250 to begin with.
