I’ll have to do my best then. I think you're more a decent wrench. I tend to get over my head. I appreciate your response.

Took advantage of camtuning’s Labor Day sale for custom tuning with revisions and an accessport. Very clear and concise instructions. Cobb AP updated. Got the bypass harness installed. Connected everything downloaded the stock maps and sent off the original file to Cam for a base map. Sxth inlet should arrive Friday and I’ll get the intake and inlet and basemap installed and get a datalog done. This should more or less button up my build. Still need to get the trackbar relocation kit installed but build is done!

Inlet intake and tune going in!

Added some footwell lights. Still haven’t had time to do the intake inlet and tune.

Went back out today and did some more testing with the Sxth inlet. Everything was installed correctly but I ended up removing it. The joining of the metal flange on the Sxth inlet to plastic pipe is secured by one hex bolt that goes into a threaded brass insert in the plastic pipe. There’s a machined space in the metal flange with a thin rubber oring inserted. But a single hex bolt just isn’t enough to provide the clamping force needed to create a seal. Also a molded plastic pipe just isn’t the best to create a seal to the metal flange especially with a very thin oring. The Sxth intake however went on smooth and no issues. So as far as the inlet leaking that area of the turbo system should be under vacuum but since it is post maf any air that gets in is unmetered. So not sure what the engineers will say over at Sxth but my logic tells me it should not leak at all. Here’s a really bad picture I screenshotted from a video I took But the black cone looking thing is my smoke machine which is inserted into the side of the inlet that would be mated to the turbo

SXTH element has said that the turbo inlet was designed to be under vacuum and that during their 6 months of testing they did not have any issues. To their credit I do see why they did not test this part under pressure as being pre turbo it will never be under pressure but vacuum. That being said I still don’t love the design and the thought of having any leak there being that low in the intake tract could potentially suck water up if you have your truck submerged enough. Also with engine movement it could potentially push and Pull the plastic pipe away from the flange and make the leak better or much worse. All that being said SXTH has been very responsive and has offered to refund the product. I will return the inlet and hope a better design comes down the line. In the meantime I got the trail pipe delivered and installed. The Sxth pipe doesn’t extend the piping slightly past the flange so the gasket has a place to rest but the gasket still fits fine. Just makes the install a tiny bit tougher to make sure the gasket is lined up properly. I tried installing the trail pipe without the gasket and could feel an exhaust leak. With the gasket in place no leak! Tucks the exhaust up very nicely And the spare is now the lowest part. Albeit my spare is the same matching rim and tire combo as on the rest of the car 34x10.5x17 on 17x8.5 +35 method 703’s.

Nice Build. We are (almost) twins!

I really want to do your engine mods. They're on my list of things to do as cash becomes available lol. Next up, Switch Pro 9100, Nacho Supreme for ditch lighting, and Method 318's for my winter tire set up. Ditch lights either December or January. 318's in two weeks.

So I really do like the Land Cruiser but I’m forever searching for a new project. I’m toying with the idea of selling my truck as it sits. It’s got 3364 miles. Break in oil change done at 1600 miles with liquimoly and factory filter. Non smoker. Never eaten or smoked in. Never been off road. No accidents. Car is basically brand new. I have just over 21k in mods on the car. I’d sell it as is. Title in hand. I realize mods aren’t worth what we pay. But for the right buyer this is turn key. Everything properly sorted and in like new condition. $63,500. I’m in no hurry but I’m eyeing an LX700H overtrail.

That was fast.

I’m not dead set on but I’m getting the itch and really like the lx700h. Wish I could keep both but doesn’t make sense. Lx700h will be almost twice what I have into my Land Cruiser with mods. But I’m lying if I told you I’m not seriously considering it.
