Never done one of these before but here it goes.

24 Heritage Blue LC250 premium.


Easy mods:
Removed front air dams
Added all weather mats

Wheels:
TRD Pro BBS from 3rd gen Tundra

Tires:
275-70r18 Toyo AT3 E-load

Suspension:
E&E 8mm top shock spacer, raised the front height by 5/8"
TRD Pro shocks from 6th gen 4runner
TRD billet UCA from 6th gen 4runner
E&E billet rear lower control arms
E&E billet front low profile bumpstop bracket

Armor:
E&E skids

Drivetrain:
300 series rear diff breather hose assembly.

Recovery:
TRD red front and rear recovery points
E&E low profile soft shackle recovery hitch

Thanks! There are a couple little things I would like to change on the current design, but they did come out pretty good for a prototype. I've been beating them up over the last couple of months.

6061-T6 sub frame with 3/16" thick 5052-H32 skids
Oil change access panels
Can jack the vehicle up from anywhere on the skids
Works with sway bar disconnect

Unfortunatly, after looking over the GX, there are too many differences in the frame to make a skid system work on both. I'm still not sure I'll produce the 250 skids.

I have, what I believe, TRD Pro shocks and upper control arms for the TRD Pro 4runner on order. Hopefully everything fits on the LC.

Got the front TRD Pro shocks in.
Gx550 ot vs lc250 vs TRD Pro

I now know why the Tacoma and 4runner don't have the bump stops like the LC, the adjuster interferes with bump stop and bracket.

I removed the bracket for now until I come up with a new bracket to clear the shock. I also removed the spring and made sure everything cleared.

Besides that, they easily bolted in.

I had a 8mm thick spacer on top of the oem shocks that raised the height about a half inch from stock. The TRD Pro shocks raised the front up even more. I would say it is 1.25-1.5" over stock. I think the top spacer will still work with these shocks which will get me close to a 2" total lift.

I did a quick test drive through some dips and speed bumps and there is a noticeable improvement in ride quality in the front vs the back.

The upper arms and rear shocks should come in tomorrow.
