Anyone purchasing below MSRP?

Land Cruiser (mid) with
Which model and color?

I am seeing 2025 / 2026 Premiums selling on Toyota lots with low miles for $68-$69,500
Land Cruiser (mid) with premium package and stabilizer disconnect. Heritage blue and white roof. 18” wheels. There are/were several in Northern VA advertised at ~5k below sticker. Got dealerships competing for my business and trying to hit target for number of units sold.

Last week of the month, Monday through Wednesday are the best days to buy. Never go on the weekend. Negotiate your trade separately from your purchase and your financing.

Finally, don’t negotiate in person at the dealer. That’s their turf and they have the power. Do it via text or phone. I like text because I can put them on ice for long periods of time by not replying until I’m ready.

Right! This is when I stopped looking at invoice/MSRP figures and just went straight to surveying what the market is. I realized those figures were largely meaningless - if there was demand, there wouldn't be discounts and if the demand wasn't there, they'd cut below invoice.
Welcome to the asylum.

2026 Heritage Blue/Gray Scape/Black Interior with Premium Package, 20" Wheels, Roof Rack (pre installed)
MSRP: 73,450
Payed: 65,250
Bowie, Maryland
Welcome to the asylum.

That is amazing!!

Central Virginia... Just put deposit down on Base - Meteor Shower - Java-Premium-20" wheels. MSRP $71,165 and got $5,000 off. Another dealership near me was offering $6,000 off, but only what they had in stock and it was not Meteor Shower.

I bought my 2026 LC Heritage blue/grayscape, with roof rack, ppf on front, side moldings, 20" wheels, etc. $67k + Tax & licensing in Northern CA. $5800 off MSRP

That’s a really good deal! I’m also in NorCal. Which dealership did you purchase from?

I'm hoping to buy a LC 1958 sometime within the next month or so, Meteor Shower with no dealer-added options or accessories. I can always buy those later if I want. I'm in the Seattle area (ZIP code 98311), so taxes and registration, etc. will likely land somewhere between $4-5k based on an MSRP of $59,095. I'm willing to travel up to about 800 miles each way for the right deal if needed. Ideally, I'd like my all-in, "out the door" price to be no more than $60,000.

Is that a realistic number, or just wishful thinking on my part?

I think you're right on point. Start calling dealerships now and start putting them against each other, then take the best offer to your local dealership.

Not sure you will get an honest answer on this forum, Some say they bought for 52k, But a real rock bottom price would be about 55k

The end of the month is always the best time to get your best deal.

If you find the color and options you desire AND it's on the dealer's lot the day you are there in person with your checkbook, you will have some negotiation room.

If you "order" / allocate a specific model, you will pay MSRP and have a long, long wait.

I negotiated under MSRP on my purchase last week. The vehicle was still in Japan while I did the negotiating so the salesperson helped me figure out the exact options I wanted.

Lots of salespeople and dealerships will tell you no negotiating if you tweak options. Multiple dealers told me that. Wouldn’t budge off msrp and wouldn’t budge on dealership add ons.

Hit up Trevor George at Family Toyota of Burleson and let him know what you’re looking for. They won’t budge on the dealer add on but will likely come off msrp. Disclaimer: this was for a 2026. 2027 models may be different. Not sure.

I just read an article saying that Land Cruiser sales are down ~47% YTD. I would say take this information and use it to your benefit for negotiations. That said, I looked at the raw data and perhaps I mis-read it, but the supposedly super-popular GX550 is also down about 43% From looking at the raw data, it also looks like the 4Runner is likely cannibalizing quite a bit of LC sales. Either way, for those of us in the market for an LC, this is good news.
