We got a new 2024 LC so it is unfortunately time to say goodbye to our 40... Photos are below. The info on this 40 are as follows:

Size: 2-Door Convertible with Hard Top and Bikini Top

Color: Grey (Primer)

Mileage: Your guess is as good as mine…

Fuel & MPG: 14mpg-ish with Regular Mid-Grade

Engine: OEM F Series OHV Inline 6 Cylinder 3.9 Liter

Transmission: OEM 3-Speed Manual on the floor with 2nd and 3rd gear synchro

Transfer Case: OEM - H2, H4, and L4

Steering Box: Box and Column are not OEM but Chevy? (this was done before I owned it). I do have an OEM steering box, column, bracket, shield, and turn signal switch if interested.

Exterior Features: 13” of Clearance, Front Locking Wheel Hubs, Removable Doors, Removable Top, Rear Lift-Up Door Hatch, OEM Swing-Out Spare Tire Mount, Trailer Hitch, and five 31” BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A 32X11.50 R 15 LT tires that still have the nubbies!

Interior Features: Fold-Down Front Seats, Fold-Down Rear Bench Seat, OEM Front and Rear Heaters (for Crawl Heat Dissipation), Brights on Floor, and Side Foot Vents.

Safety and Security Features: 4 Seatbelts, Roll Bar, Locking Storage Box, Locking Gas Cap, and Wheel Locks.

In Addition: Bikini Sun Top, OEM Bottle Jack w/ Tools, extra set of four 29” Michelin Radial LT235/75 R 15 XCH4 All-Season Tires on OEM Pinstriped Wheels, and a number of new and used extra parts.

Care: In its 25-year life with me, I have done the following to this vehicle:

  • Replaced voltage regulator
  • Replaced exhaust system (passes CO emissions)
  • Had brake system overhauled
  • Replaced front axle assembly to match rear 4:11:1 ratio
  • Had main radiator and rear heater coil overhauled/serviced and replaced most coolant hoses.
  • Replaced emergency/parking brake assembly
  • Replaced ignition coil and spark plugs
  • Tuned engine for timing and idle and replaced fuel filter (passes CO emissions)
  • Replaced speedometer cable
  • Replaced a variety of seals in the drive train
  • Had rear seat re-upholstered to match front seats
  • Added OEM rear seat seatbelts
  • Added OEM rear bumpers
  • Added OEM spare tire mount
  • Recently replaced 31” tires
  • Relatively new battery

Asking $16,500 OBO. This has been a dependable vehicle and has treated me well. It has always done everything I have ever asked it to do. I bought it 25 years ago to eventually restore when it died – IT NEVER DIED. Looking to give it a good new home.
