- 2024 Landcruiser Pemium, 2014 Lexus GX460, 2016 4Runner, 2006 4Runner
Hello from Montgomery, Texas. After three Monteros (1991,1997 and 2001) six 4Runners (2000, 2003, 2006,, 2010, 2011, and 2016) an FJ Cruiser and two GX460s, the wife finally pulled the trigger on a Landcruiser. It’s a previously loved 2024 Premium with the factory “off road” wheels/tires (BFGs on 18”s) in underground with black leather.
We test drove the GX550 and she couldn’t justify the leap. That boosted 3.4 and all the engine failures makes me wonder whether it’s a ticking time bomb. More power, sure, but too pretentious for her.
So far we love this thing, though I’m not trading in my GX 460 any time soon. I drove our 2003 V8 to nearly 300k and love the over engineered Toyota V8s and just the noise of a V8.
Looking forward to getting some miles down in the Landcruiser and getting her paws dirty. Thank you in advance for the knowledge and stories, looking forward to this experience.
