If I get rid of MIss Daisy, it will be for a Sequoia.
It's not so much a squeak, it's a creak, and it's right underneath the plastic part of the footwell. I'm just thinking that some glue separated or a clip broke. Toyota told me they can't fix it cause a used one on the lot has the same symptoms, so I told them to fix that one too, but they shrugged me off.
The only people who will tell you the new LC sucks are they who can't afford it, or they bought a GX and are trying to justify their purchase. "It's a 4 cylinder", "too much plastic", "small gas tank", "no v8", "sounds like it's struggling", blah blah blah. My Toyota only operates between 1.3k rpms to 2.5k rpms, and that doesn't show signs of a struggle if you ask me. Torque is geared real low, and it's built like a true off-roader with standard rear locker and Toyota's awesome ATRAC. ATRAC is pretty good at almost getting close to a front locker if you ask me. I have a bunch of videos to prove it too. I drove a GX550 Overtrail+ back to back with my LC250 and I noticed i had to get on the gas more off road to get the torque i needed, even the same size tires.
I live in Phoenix AZ and I can run my LC for hours without worrying about it overheating.
Got a 2025 premium last spring and driven it ~6k miles. Most of the items on your list have been non-issues. My 2 complaints are:
(1) Battery drained and LC wouldn't start. It's annoying to have a vehicle that needs an external charger and that needs babying to keep from draining the battery. I use a clip in the tailgate latch when open for more than 2 minutes; I set the fob into sleep mode daily; my wife doesn't like that I had to set the inside lights to stay off when the doors open; the owner's manual lists a half-dozen things you shouldn't do without turning on the hybrid system.
As I write this, I'm monitoring and recording the battery voltage with an Ancel BM200. Voltage is at 11.97v after driving for an hour yesterday. I had the dealer test the battery twice, but they say it's ok. Earlier today I ordered a Victron smarthsunt to monitor not only voltage but amps into the battery from the LC's DC-DC charging system and my external charger, as well as amps discharged due to electric use including parasitic draw. I'll use this to decide whether to (a) buy an AGM battery, (b) add solar, or (c) both (to have more power and to charge the AGM with whatever bulk, absorb, and float charge profile I specify). I expect to resolve this problem over the next few weeks.
(2) My other complaint is that the LC stopped sending electrical power to the trailer lights. I've been waiting since August for a backordered part that is now expected to arrive 11/19. Anything can go wrong, but I do blame Toyota for not keeping a better inventory of parts.
Overall I'm glad to have purchased the LC, because I like driving it on the pavement and offroad, but it has been more trouble than my 2014 4Runner with 120k miles.

People will always post about issues making it seem like there are widespread issues. I had the brake squeal thing but there is a service bulletin now. Mine were fixed about two weeks ago. For other items, I don’t have those problems. Fuel tank size is blah but I am getting over 20 mpg on the highway. Expect about 18 mpg if you are using it mainly in the city. I fill up every two weeks. Also, the range that you see on the dash is for 15.9 vs 17.9 gallons. Someone st Toyota said this is to encourage people not to run the tank dry since the fuel pump relies on the gas to keep it from overheating. I always add another 36 miles to what the range says since I averaged about 18 mpg.

Problems: With responses.
- Squeaking Brakes Non issue
- Apple Car Play disconnecting, I use it every day. Some times comes and goes no issue for me and rare
- Popping Center Console noises None warranty if yes
- Easy Crack windshield Yes.
- Ineffectiveness of OEM Roof rack rails for basic attachments, such as a bubble box unless it has a perfectly flat bottom. I have an OEM 3/4 rack on my build. Lots of options, factory with yakima rails is excellent.
- Transmission issues/failed transmissions/rough shifts at low speeds. No issues here none i know of in Ca.
- Small battery Big enough and works well Meaningless statement.
- Key fob/rear door unlock & very limited range Works fine, learn to use properly.
- Easily chipped pain If you mean paint ues kinda thin, what's better at the same price range.
- You may want to consider the loaded sequoia, may better suit your needs especially space and get off the roof.
- Get what you want the rest will smooth out.

My wife and I have had seven Land Cruisers since 1999. Four 100 series, two 200 series, and a 2024 LC 250 First Edition. We put a lot of miles on these things and they have all been perfect rigs. No complaints at all. The LC250 is much more entertaining to drive than the prior ones and I have to say is more peppy, both on the low end and the high end. Fuel economy is much better too! My only issue is the sound of the engine. I installed a new air intake which helps. I just turn the music up a bit, and/or open the sunroof and all is good. By the way, these sit more upright than the older ones, kind of like the older Range Rovers. I know you will love your new rig. I say go for it!

Its a big decision, after the sticker shock wears off. Its a decent deal to buy the Land Cruiser. Comfortable seats ride and other plus factors, negate the negative. Every vehicle has some flaws. When you stare and compare the differentials the LC is a solid choice,
I love my 2024 1958, but the squeaking brakes make me sound like I'm driving a 1987 Buick LeSabre with 150K miles. Was in at the dealer today, and they said that unless the brakes squeak all of the time, everyday, that Toyota won't do anything. Planning on following up on that tomorrow. The windshield is pretty vertical and I've gotten one chip in it in the year I've owned it, but that's the case with a Bronco, any Jeep, or lots of other vehicles, so doesn't worry me much. My paint is still perfect, despite hitting it with lots of chipping potential (bike, doors, boxes, you name it. Haven't had any issues with any of the other concerns (don't use Apple, so there's that). Love it, but the squeaking brakes are a buzzkill for me. I'd say go for it, and plan on changing the brakes as indicated, since the dealer and mfr are of no help on this. My bigger issues are the raised battery cover in the rear deck (a bitch to get dogs into), the relatively low range (315 miles is all I can get), and 1100 pound payload (about what's expected for a half ton vehicle, but easy to eat into with bumpers, bigger tires, winch, skid plates, rock rails, etc). But other than the squeaking brakes, I'd happily do it again. I love the vehicle. Do your research and see if there's anything better. I've not found it. 4-Runner interior is too low and didn't like the interior, Lexus is too luxe for me, Bronco is nice, but not my cup of tea, Jeeps are unreliable, Land Rovers are worse, Kia and Hyundai are not true 4wd. My list got short fast.

Just order the skids today so they arrive when the vehicle lands at the dealership. Front, transfer case and rear differential. Strange that they don’t put a full skid package on this thing out of the box. My F-150 FXx4 had a full slate of skids.

That’s not true, at all. Not sure how you can say Toyota isn’t supportive… they have a service bulletin for exactly this issue, stating it’s covered under warranty. I brought the printed TSB to the dealer and they didn’t even try to recreate it. . The dealer said it’s very common and ordered the parts immediately. Don’t settle for that answer.
The issue exists on more than just the LC250
The consumer report periodical received here 10-10-25 gives the Land Cruiser a very similar score as last year. So CR feels the vehicle has not changed and scored a 61 on their rating scale for this years model 2025. This will likely apply to 2026 model year as well.
Knowing this its still a beautiful advanced tech wonder. Great for the woods or the beach. A little monster for certain. Live a little and roll the dice for a fun ride...

I can’t wait! I called them yesterday for an update and ETA. Ordered some winter tires (going to go up one size in diameter and width on the tires), full skid plates (OEM will suit my needs as I’m not going any serious rock climbing - yet). I’ll swap out the stock 18s in the spring with some Method bead grips and either Toyos or KO3s. I’ve run KO2s for years on my truck but they sucked in the rain. Im hoping the new tire doesn’t have the same issue. I should look at Falcons as well but there are 100s of threads on tires here!
“few” is a relative term. The real question is if you go to other maker, Bronco or Jeep for example, do they do any better?
I have a thread here a year and half ago about this, the impression I had from that discussion is other maker, particularly US makers like Ford or GM, the rate for critical components failures are several fold higher.
Not downplaying the frustration of a transmission failure, but the LC will be fine in the long run.
