With al due respect to Toyota and their dealers lock bars can be cut off with a hacksaw or battery operated blade saw in moments - my bar was cut off and the bar removed in one of the 3 attacks
If you want to deploy a physical deters t then there are two that add value/create delay
Substantial wheel clamp or disc lock that covers the whole steering wheel
Both are capable of being removed but they take longer than cutting out the sections of the steering wheel
Sorry to appear negative but I still have somewhere a section of my old LC steering wheel that was left behind by the thieves

Thsiis from one of the toyota sites, I saw in a video, saw this and took a screen shot - they were sold out the first day. Yes they can be sawed offf, I think it acts as a detrrent, so that they thief knows they will have something else to slow them down. In the second video he discusses, that Toyota, has made improvements with the new Land Cruisers for Security.

Hey @DJW sorry to hear you had to go through this - based in ON- I installed Igla + other measures - DM me if u wish to discuss - just yesterday one of the bozos tried to steal or even get to my neighbour’s vehicle and before his hand even touched the door handle he triggered my security and was running back to the getaway vehicle faster than forest gump……
I keep replaying the video of him getting the surprise shock and sprinting for a laugh !!!

Before buying the Land Cruiser I knew it was a thing for them to be stolen. I went down some pretty deep rabbit holes on the traditional internet and the not so traditional internet in learning the "hows" and what exactly they use. That type of discussion is probably best kept to DM's if someone wants to discuss it with you.

It's wrong most of the time so that's the right thing to do. At most go look at the sources it cites, although those are often just the same thing as the search results below.
I use a Disklok ever since the time a neighbor told me a car pulled up behind my Land Cruiser and a guy jumped out and was looking at the back. That or I park it inside the garage. We're not in a crazy high theft area like London or Ontario, so far I haven't had any further problems. It's big, but it's easier to put on and take off than the useless kind of wheel locks Toyota is selling.
The IGLA Immobilizer runs $1299.00 installed in my area. Has anyone tried it in a '25 LC yet?

i have it on 26 LC ... works great! the downside you'll have to pin in your code every time you after shutting down the vehicle .. ie. after filling up your tank, stores, etc... but that's a minor inconvenience compared to dealing with a stolen vehicle..The IGLA Immobilizer runs $1299.00 installed in my area. I put an Igla and a Compustar with Drone on my ‘27. The Igla will keep it from going anywhere unless they flatbed it, and the Compustar will make one hell of a noise if they try to move it. Ideally, Drone will help me find it, but there is also the Toyota tracking and the hidden AirTag. If you get a Compustar, don’t go for the one with the fancy keyfob.
