I just installed the TSB springs plus an extra set for the upper pins. Squeaks all gone, parts less than $10.

That video is very new, so I’m curious if the anti rattle springs are enough. The shim shown in the tsb looks quite a bit different.

If mine gets any worse/louder I’ll probably try the springs first. They’re only $8 per pair and look very easy to install.

Edit: didn’t realize this is your video and vehicle. How long ago did you swap the anti rattle springs? And was your vehicle always screeching in reverse or intermittently?

Yep, known issue that the dealer will take care of since there is a bulletin out from 2024-2026. Toyota has been slow to source the parts so most dealerships will have you the parts on order for many months

You’re definitely not alone. A lot of 2024 Land Cruiser owners have reported the same brake screech, especially when backing up after the vehicle has been sitting. There’s actually a TSB (T-SB-0046-25) out for it. From what I’ve seen, the fix usually involves updated brake pads/rotors or shims from the dealership. You might want to ask your dealer to check that bulletin specifically.

I mention this not long after I bought my 2024 Land Cruiser August 2024.
It didn't take long for my brakes to start screeching-not consistantly but enough to be annoying. my LC is garage kept. Screeching may happen in the morning or anytime during the day. It happens upon backing up. Dealship inspected brakes and said they were fine, Toyota Engineering was contacted-no answer yet. Here it is a year later and screeching brakes still with me. I understand from the dealership that it's an issue on other new models as well.

Yeah happened to me as well took it in 2 months ago and finally got it fixed after waiting 8 weeks for parts. i believed they changed the shims and gave me new brake pads too. Lovinnnnn the silence now xD

Glad to hear they finally got it sorted out for you. The silence must feel amazing after dealing with that screech for so long. Hopefully that fix holds up long term!

I swapped from the one piece anti rattle to the individual wire clips (04947-60140), along with cleaning and applying new caliper grease to all the contact surfaces on the pads. The anti-squeal shims were bone dry, too.

It seems to have rid me of the reverse squeal for now. Will see if it comes back.

Just to follow up, my brake noise returned after about a month. I was scheduled to take the vehicle in for service so I swapped the wire clips back to the original one piece springs. On a whim I bedded the brake pads in and the noise stopped, so I canceled the appointment. I haven't heard a peep for about two months.

I also coated all metal to metal surfaces with this, have done it on all my vehicles for years. Really helps with semi-metallic pads.
