I never had one (but wanted one), but can the FJ’s even hold a candle to the LC250’s?

They absolute do in my view! They are beasts off-road. The FJ Cruiser (GSJ12) is essentially a Land Cruiser, in the same Prado lineage as our J250s. See The Land Cruiser Codex if curious to learn more!
