I don't believe so ....... it's just a steel/alum ball sitting on top of a stem pipe. IF any pressure builds up, the intent is to that pressure to vent while at the same time, when water is splashed on to the vent the ball and cap would prevent ingestion.Would the air void in the hose affect the sensitivity of the pressure release valve on the breather? I.E. would the rear differential fluid need to be hotter to increase the air pressure to release the valve?
