Prolong Engine Treatment + LC 250 = ?

Hi all -
I'm a new LC250 owners. A mechanic friend of mine recommended Prolong for the engine - to put some in on my first oil change at 5K miles.

Anybody else have experience with it? Would you recommend it?

I would be a bit skeptical. First off, could it possibly impact the engine warranty? Not just Toyota, but vehicle manufacturers in general can be a pain in this regard. Change your oil/filter every 5K, without an additive, and that engine will go MANY miles.
