New Bilstein 5100 vs westcott level

I have a 24’ 1958, tackled the stereo upgrade recently, as well as new rims tires.

Next up really wanting to level, main goal is aesthetics I don’t really take this off-road much as it’s a daily commuter, I like the way it currently rides but don’t mind a little stiffer to eliminate floating feeling and nose dive.

I had bilstein 5100 on my 4runner to achieve level, just curious what people think comparing it too westcott level.

Bilstein would be more subtle as it’s just the front, vs westcott both front and back.
I leveled out the front with the 5100's. Same amount of labor on our end as installing a spacer lift.

What setting did you set the front strut at? Any pictures? How does it feel?

Bilstein 5100s are the way to go here. Both rely on preloading the spring but the Bilsteins will provide far superior damping to control the spring plus height adjustability. You could always add a rear spacer or a set of Eibach or Dobinsons rear springs if you want to maintain rake.

Yup, I’ve done my research and budget allows for it! Thinking I might go 6112. But 1.5” will probably leave me nose high. So might add rear springs like you mentioned to lift rear slightly

In my case, I went to position #4 which was 1.65". This placed me around 37" all around to the fender flare. On a stock setup, I believe you'd want to go with position #3 which will net you around 1.1" of lift in the front. Simple tape measure reading from the hub to fender flare all around will let you know.

For off roading, you don't really want to go higher than 1.5" (ideal) - 2" (max) as it's all a compromise with wheel articulation on an IFS (not accounting for CV angles, etc.). Zero issue with alignments at this lift range.

Go with the 6112's if the 5100's aren't what you're looking for. No wrong choice here, both are an improvement over OEM. We run a 265/70R18 e-load tire for remote touring / overlanding, so your tire choice will have the largest impact on comfort and ride.

Oh ya your bumper guard looks heavy!!
Ya I’m about 37.25 in rear and 36 up front. Position 3 is probably my best bet wonder how noticeable 1” of lift up front would be.

I like the look of westcott stance but with 33s I’m ok it’s not going as high. So for option 2 was thinking 1.65” up front and a 1/2 spacer from Robinson in the back.

But I think I’m overthinking it. 1.1” up front and improved ride with 6112 will probably have me very happy
