Heated Seats issue: Updated**

Heated seats not working properly in the new J250 Land Cruisers is a known issue which our dealership and Toyota USA is trying to ignore. 8 trips, weeks in the shop. They say "there is no range and it's within specs." If there's low-med-high there's a range and industry standard on many SUV makes & models is: low ~85-95f, med ~95-105f, high ~105-115f. *** 60.8-77f is not ok. In the shop with thermal imaging the highest is 73-77f. Filed complaints and it will take attorneys to resolve. 2 major issues: hybrid engine lag on uphill take off is safety issue, Toyota Engineering issue even in Sport mode "nothing we can do". Otherwise I like the vehicle and the FJ80 I had all decked out.

Can it be done via Carista, and if so, does anyone know the "steps" to do it off the top of their heads?

I want my rear HVAC to match what my front is by default. I very rarely have rear passengers other than dogs ALL the way in the back, and I want them to be getting cool air quickly when we jump in a hot car.

Dont recall seeing this in carista. But to be safe, when car is started (Ready), press the Rear button on dash and you can see what the rear vents are doing. If it's off, press Sync, should then match front to rear. Some of us have noticed that the rear turns off for unknown reasons. Is rare but happens. I reach over my left shoulder to feel the roof vent to confirm sometimes.
Sflow is always off on my 25 LC LC btw.

Yeah, mine turns off almost every time I get out of the truck. That's why I'm trying to find a solution that will default to ON every time. It's a PITA to have to start puniching buttons every time I get back in.

Maybe turn it on with the rear seat controls and adjust the temps flow etc.?? Will it remember it??. No idea why this is happening, and didnt find anything in manual. Mine didnt do it for seemingly a year, then started randomly doing it. Definitely pain in the butt. Not sure if putting the car in ECO mode has anything to do with it either. I rarely use that mode, but never noticed a correlation between the two when i did.

Edit: mine sat for couple days and when i got in the hvac for rear was off. Took multiple button presses and profanity to get it back to matching the front using the front's controls Another major fail by toyota engineers. Ridiculous and dangerous in high heat climates.
Have to love the climate options in settings. 1 option; a/c on or off. Wife's Defender blows the LC out of the water with intuitive and considerate design. Still prefer my LC with is various niggles and lack of foresight.

I can confirm mine does the same, or does not auto sync with the front automatically

I guess most of these issues are what we'd call "First World issues" but I also paid "First World price" for it, so I expect better.
