Ok so I really really like my 2026 Land Cruiser Premium. Of course there are a few glitches but all in all its a great ride.
My complaint: Everyone knows about the squeaky brake issue when it's parked overnight and subsequently when you back up out of the driveway in the morning. EMBARRASSING AS IT SOUNDS LIKE A RUSTED OLD FARM IMPLEMENT when leaving. So I know the fix and Toyota knows the issue and has a bulletin out for it. Wonderful. Not so wonderful is the fact that I have been waiting over 2 months for all the parts to come in. "National Backorder" I am told. No updates from the dealership on when to "expect" them either. Just plain ridiculous Toyota. Hopefully you're still not trotting out the squeak on the '27 models (Im gonna guess yes). Cmon Toyota you can do better!

I went the DIY route as I didn’t want to wait. 20min a side. Very easy and no more squeal.

Hi buddy, I have to back up at a local high school when I pick up my kids. Dozens turn their heads and embarras me everyday. I was hoping a recall will fix it, but Toyota has no time to take action. What a shame.

Glazed brakes squeal. Greasing backing plates is useless. If you were on the track grease would get burned off in a session anyway...Just saying. Brakes need to be used. 8200 miles, never a squeak.......the repair is being done to accommodate driver behavior.
Easy enough to simply wipe the pins. Takes 10 seconds.
As far as the pad tracks is concerned. Easier way is to simply wipe each corner with a QTip.
Brembo has used that OE heavier spring setup for years, no issues.
I bet with those new springs you feel a longer brake pedal as pads are now being pushed further away.
No thanks. A lot easier to brake hard once a week......

Its embarrassing and un cool... They will fix it soon...
Think of all the good things to come!!

I'm amazed how easily some are embarrassed. Having some one call you out when your fly is open and you aren't wearing skivvies or the Polish Bib hanging out the back your drawers after taking a dump is embarrassing. Totally agree with @Sugarloafer80 with regard to using the brakes.

Ordered back in Nov. and just getting the fix in next week. I’ve learned to embrace it as character over the 10 months lol

They fixed my brakes in four month and replaced not only the springs but the struts and pads as well :)
