🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

After months research / experience with all kinds of methods, sketching out the conceptual design…Finally I got exactly what I want : add-on steps for LCFE rock slider. It is the must for my family because in next couple days, my LCFE will be lifted 2” higher (TC+King shocks+Dobinsons springs), then this will help them in and out easily

Many people got scam and lost $$$ for fake/cheat store/guy! And till now no solution!

Where did you get those steps?

Any issues with the ACC? The camera taps into that power source, just want to make sure I’m not going to degrade that active cruise control feature, because I use it daily. Thx

Installed this phone mount from @StickerFab so I can pop my phone up there when I need to pick music — the Apple CarPlay Music interface is pretty worthless and just about the only thing I’ve found I need to access my phone for, so it’s nice to have a magnetic mount to stick it up there when I need it and put it away when I don’t with one hand.

Installed this phone mount from @StickerFab so I can pop my phone up there when I need to pick music — the Apple CarPlay Music interface is pretty worthless and just about the only thing I’ve found I need to access my phone for, so it’s nice to have a magnetic mount to stick it up there when I need it and put it away when I don’t with one hand.

I think that tint is going to make it difficult to safely drive, especially at night. I may be illegal in some states on the front seat glass.

He was stating that "his LC" might be illegal in some states due to the tint he had installed and inferred that it might be hard to see and drive safely at night, again based off his experience/install.

I installed window film for two years back in the early 80’s to support my young family, and was very good at it.

Some locals LEO’s have simple meters, in their cruisers, to instantly check the %visible light transmittance of any film out there. The drivers doors are the ones they worry about, for the safety of the officers, during a traffic stop. The officers want to be able to see inside a vehicle, in case there are firearms pointed at them.

Back in the day, all of the bordering states where I was agreed, and passed laws, that 35% visible light transmittance was the darkest that was allowed on the front row window glass.

I had that on my explorer front windows and my son side swiped a Tesla at night because he didn't see it. Next day I peeled it off. Really hard to see at night around you. I did tint my current LC but only legal tint and no problems.

Exactly. Tinted driver window is “my concern” about safety of both driver and LEO when traffic stop, “especially” with your carry (CCW). “Personally” I had never got front windows tinted (even though I know we can get some benefits of it such as shade, privacy, etc.

So I went poking around the Redline website and found a list of dealers. One was Summit Racing, south of Atlanta. I was prepared to drive down and get them, but the Summit website said they would ship directly from Redline.

Went to the Summit Racing website, searched, and found these..

Put them in my cart, checked out, and Boom! Free shipping!
So we’ll see if Redline really was out of stock, or were they just trying to steer me to one of their dealers. These were slightly more expensive than the base model $99 ones on the Redline website. These were $119, higher quality than the $99 ones. Even Miss Daisy is excited!

EDIT: DO NOT ORDER THESE from Summit Racing website! Despite using the Sumit Racing parts search, which gave me the above part number, IT IS THE WRONG PART for our LC’s. I called Summit, and they don’t even list the Redline part number 21-27024-02 for our LC’s. The guy at Summit, Ory, is putting in the correct part number for our LC’s into their system, and will get back with me.

The "fit" description indicates 1963 - 1982 models supported...

Redline must be getting closer to releasing their struts. Look at the website now. More pictures and their implementation is definitely different with longer struts mounted further towards the front of the hood. Things must be happening!

Just looking at the pictures, it looks like the Redline kit requires drilling and riveting the mounts to the hood. Like I had to do on the Taco.

I hope not. In their description they say it is bolt in and only requires simple hand tools. Fingers crossed!
