Brakes Squeal

We had this "fix" done about 6 months ago and low and behold, the squeal has returned. We are reaching out to the dealership to see what the next step is.

Interesting. It's been over 5000 miles since it was done (close to 6000) and it has not squealed for me at all. Record it and check with your dealer again. Maybe they didn't use the right parts.

Ours started squealing again at around 10k miles. Just going to keep having it done until they find the actual problem.

I got it done with 2800 miles and by 3500 miles I could hear the break squeal intermittently (probably 3/4 times). My solution was to just turn the radio full blast so I did not have to hear it :)

Did anyone else have to schedule 2 appointments for the brake service? They wont order the parts until they hear the brakes squeal...

Our brakes didn't squeal until about the 8000 mile mark. Now every morning it's a 50/50 chance my brand new $80,000 SUV wakes up the neighbors with it's janky brakes as I back out of the driveway

yes, once to confirm the squeal, then many more in an attempt to install the parts.

Send them a video. If they won’t accept that, contact Toyota customer relations and/or find a better dealer.

2025 LC owner here and also a victim of the squeal. I purchased mine at the end of September 2025, and the inevitable squeal arrived shortly thereafter. Like others, it was squealing only in reverse and not all of the time. I took it to get repaired on Jan 30, and I was surprised that the dealership had everything in stock and got it done that afternoon. I can definitely tell a difference in the braking, which is a good thing. It feels more consistent. I was pumped! But then....the squealing came BACK on Feb 1!!!! And I swear it's louder than before. It just happened after braking in drive after it had squealed in reverse, which it has never done.
Anyway, we have been dealing with snow and ice here in SW Kentucky - could the squealing now be because of the salt on the roads? :) Maybe?? :) Or did this fix not work? :/ Maybe I need grease? Help.
I have attached the invoice for the work done.

Same here. I’m about to hit 9,000 and my breaks started screeching about a month ago. When I first heard about this issue I figured it was being exaggerated but this is the loudest screeching I’ve ever heard from breaks and never when this new.

My Service Manager was willing to take my word for it. Still had to wait several months for parts and even that was with the person "in line" in front of me moved out of state so I got those parts.

Mine was only squealing once a week but now it's pretty much every day at 12,000 miles. Kid in the parking lot compliments me on the LC and watches me back out of my parking space, screeeeeach. Awesome noise really helps build the brand.

I finally had the brake squeal fixed under the TSB. In all honesty I had not heard the squeal in the last 10k miles but I figured I should get it done regardless just in case it reappeared. The dealership did not give me a hard time at all, they only needed to confirm the TSB and order the parts. Super easy and no stress.

I've heard it a very few times, rarely. I'm giving it until 15k-20k, then I'll have the TSB done, may as well get some milage out of it.

My neighbors are about to lynch me over the squeal. Since i roll out at 5 am. The noise as backing out is disturbing the peace...

Sort of funny cause they used to complain about my borla exhaust noise on my old rig.

I also had extreme brake squealing (front brake pads, only while in reverse) on my 2024 model. It began around 10K miles. I had to wait about 2 months for the parts to arrive. For me, the fix completely solved the problem, which was about 6 months ago or about 7K miles.

Does anyone else exerience brakes squeel in reverse? Mine seems to do it mostly after it has sat for a while. I only notice it in reverse.
I took my 2026 to address the squeeky brake while reversing. They inidcated there was a warranty repair for this issue which included replacing the front brakes and associated shim. No issues anymore
