2026 Underground door rattle

Outstanding breakdown and instruction. That B pillar rattle in my 2024 has been driving me to drink even more.

I have been looking at trading to a 2026 or 2027 as well.
Esquire, not confirmed, and doubtful Toyota ever will, but it appears the 2027's incorporate improved theft resistance, a Can-Bus change. Apparently not yet in the U.S. as of yet, but the LC is suffering from a very high theft rate in Japan. I am suspicious this is a primary reason for the 2027 announcement so soon in the year.

These rattles seem fast to reveal themselves and inevitable. It’s seriously making me reconsider my 2027 allocation (June-July). It’s a bummer.

That’s an interesting thought. I hadn’t heard that.

I definitely wouldn’t let a rattle or two make you reconsider your purchase. The Land Cruisers are like vaults compared to any other vehicle I’ve owned.
Don’t get me started on the rattles on brand new Range Rovers. My 911s have always had horrible rattles. Part of the fun.
This 250 is absolutely a pleasure to drive and own.

Appreciate the reassuring words! I still have a few weeks left until my LC250 is supposed to arrive at the dealership so I might be placing too much weight on some of the reported issues. It is my nature 😃

Just remember that people with poor experiences are typically the loudest - with vehicles and all other things. In other words, negative experiences get over-represented.

Hey all,

New member here. I have a 2026 I picked up about two weeks ago. Currently just over 300 miles on it and it seems to have developed the common and dreaded driver door/ B pillar rattle. Planning to take it to the dealership in a couple days. (Never good to have a warranty item before receiving permanent tags).

Anyway based on my limited skill, I believe the issue is actually the driver side door, possibly latch. I went through the thread regarding the seatbelt assembly having an issue and do not think it is that. I drove slowly with the door open and the metallic rattle stopped. I then drove with the door closed but not completely latched and also did not have the issue. Has anybody specifically had an issue with doors for Polaris Ranger 1000 causing a metallic sound coming from either the door or the latch?
I’d definitely have the dealer check the door latch and striker, especially since the rattle stops when the door is open or not fully latched. That points more toward the door/latch area than the seatbelt. I’d also have them check the B-pillar trim and clips, since those have been known to cause similar metallic rattles.

Picked up my 2027 Premium 3 weeks ago and have the rattle in the driver's side B pillar area. Only happens at slow speeds on rough or gravel roads. Does not happen with the door open and didn't improve after lubing the door catch.
