17 inch Genuine Toyota Steelies

I don't see how it could because the 285/70R18 doesn't fit and that's 33.7" diameter. There is a metal bracket that may have to be modified or maybe it sits at a wonky angle but because of the narrower tire it is not as noticeable as the 285 width. My 285/65R18 was the same diameter as the 265/70R18 tire and fit fine but the wider tire sat lower by about an inch or so.
I really, really wish that Toyota would've kept the barn door with tire carrier like the older LC's, but no, they had to go and make it a hatchback :ROFLMAO: with the spare down below. That makes me think they weren't thinking of the Prado/J250 as a heavy duty offroad vehicle or maybe they thought that the rock crawlers would probably have an aftermarket rear bumper with tire carrier. I'll never know though and it is what it is. Still love the truck, 17k miles and no problems thus far.
Found the thread where @LcAz mentioned it fits perfectly: 34x10.5 Toyo AT3 D load?

These tires are actually around 33.5" so somewhat makes sense.

While walking the dogs I noticed a neighbor has a new-ish white Tacoma with the silver steelies that I want so bad. I'm going to leave him a note to see if he's interested in a straight wheels/tires swap with my 1958 alloys/all-season tires. I figure if he went with the poverty-spec Tacoma he wouldn't mind a little wheel upgrade (most people besides steel wheels weirdos like me ought to consider the 1958 wheels a nice upgrade). Here's hoping...

Ok, so I posted that I was going to give the 2024 Tacoma TRD OffRoad 17"x7.5" +55 offset wheels a try with Toyo AT3s in 34x10.5R17. Well, I really like the "stock" look. It's understated and I know there are many who are scratching their heads and thinking "WTF is that guy thinking". It's all good. I wanted a 17" wheel but did not want something sticking out past my mud flaps making a mess of my truck. I like that it looks a little more utilitarian now.

Looks great, that's a lot of sidewall!

I love these. Do you have the part number for those wheels?

Thanks, I'm kind of digging this setup more and more. I've actually gained about 1.5-2 mpg switching from the 275/70R18 General Grabber in SL load as well as another ยฝ" or ground clearance from stock tire.
I'll drop the spare tomorrow and get it the part number. They were take offs that I found on eBay from someone that had the dealer put different wheels on their truck before driving off the lot. The part number that I've seen people posting are for the wheel disc not the wheel.

Nice, thanks. Yeah, I think I found the same wheels on FB marketplace near me, so I'll pull the trigger if you can confirm fit. Did you do any kind of lift? Any rubbing? Did you happen to look at many other 17" tire options other than those Toyos? Really hoping to get something that's a true 33 with a stock set up.

The truck is completely stock suspension. No scrubbing whatsoever. The diameter of the tire is 33.5" The width is 10.5", stock tire is 10.3 and 275/70R18 I previously had on the truck was a 10.7" It's the Goldilocks tire for me. It would be nice if it came in C load 6ply but it is D load 8ply. I don't think I'll have any problems with flats ever. There are LC owners that are rolling with 285/70R18 tires 33.7" diameter on stock suspension with no problems whatsoever even in full articulation off road. They have a +45 offset 18x8 wheel. Same wheel I just replaced for these to get higher +55 offset and 17" diameter.

Those wheels would look great powder coated a matte black.

Yes they would, but the machined lip is growing on me. It looks understated which is something I was going for. Like it 's stock factory but with bigger tires. My last 4Runner was a beast and I just am not pounding on the trails like I used to.

Hello Arash, I found by coincidence this Youtube video... it is a detailed video of a Belgium seller that sells "export" vehicles. You can get a full picture of a 250TX 2.4L petrol, as you want yours to look like.

Note that the video is in French, but even if the lips are fully synch', it has been made with IA cause you can find other videos of him speaking other languages not only fluently, but with different tones of voice. Sometimes pace is buggy. Still impressive. Anyway, that's not the point. I mean maybe you can find the same video in Arabic, or Indglish ?

Oh there the English spoken one !

Enjoy.
