18" TRD Pro BBS Forged Wheels Mounted on Heritage Blue

These are the center caps with the white logos (https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-center-cap-tun-black-sil-pt998352213s). The price is for one cap. Other folks have gone with a bronze logo instead.

Same as OP, I think my wheels look a lot better with the black lug nuts also, although having a 22mm nut requires a different lug wrench. https://www.bamwholesaleparts.com/o...-pvd-wheel-lug-nuts-set-of-5-oem-pt0760c20002. The price is for 5 nuts so you’d need 5 sets of five.
Thanks for the part number. I think I like the simplicity of the white and it matches the front logo and the traditional logos you have seen for years. My wheels came with the black lug nuts so I should be good.

Same setup for me! I did replace the TRD center caps with TOYOTA caps.

I’m seeing about a 2 mpg drop.
I am curious if you went from 20" tires DOWN to 18" wouldn't that increase your mpg? Sorry, obviously I am a newbie and trying to understand. I had been told if I did a lift and went to larger tires my mpg would drop radically, so just assumed it worked the other way in reverse. Mine came with 18" wheels....... but I love the looks of those, especially without the red insert.

It isn't the size of your wheels/tires that will affect performance, but the weight. Generally speaking, bigger wheels and tires weight more, but not always. Unsprung weight, basically anything hanging off the suspension (wheels, tires, brakes) has an outsized effect on performance.

Got the 18" TRD Pro BBS wheels/tires mounted and LOVE IT! Def changed the whole look and much more rugged looking now. Drives just as smooth as the OEM 20s that were on this before. Maybe slightly more road noise than before and MPG impact TBD, but to tell you the truth, don't care. It just looks awesome.

Here are the details, etc.

(5) OEM Toyota TRD PRO 18" BBS Forged wheels on Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W (285/65r18)
Part #: PT960-34220-2F (18x8.5) (47.5mm)

(20) Genuine OEM Toyota Black Lug Nut Set of LC/Sequoia/Tundra Black Lug Nuts (14mm x 1.5mm)
Part #: PT076-0C200-02

(4) Genuine OEM Toyota Black PVD Alloy Wheel Locks (14mm x 1.5mm)
Part #: PT276-34200-02

*TPMS swapped from OEM wheels
*You can use the OEM lugs. The OEM 20" black chrome lugs use 21mm socket, but the black ones noted above that I am using require a 22mm socket
*The 285/65/18 tire size fits in spare location. No issues

Hi! Might swab the same wheels from a friend’s TRD Tundra. I’m a bit new to the whole off roading thing lol. How did you deal with TPMS? Did you swap yourself? And since it’s been some time, how is your MPG? Any advice would be appreciated!

This set up has been on for over 6 months and have to report I've given it to my daughter (17), so I don't drive it as much and I'm relegated to my other vehicles lol. That said she LOVES this thing and I am deciding what i go with next (LX570/600, 6thGen 4R Pro/Trail hunter, or LC200 HE). Any recs? She does tell me all the compliments she gets on the set up.

Ref TPMS: I had a competent local shop (who also swapped methods on our Sprinter) swap all the original TPMS into the new set up, to include the extra (5th) BBS wheel i bought for a spare. NO issues thus far.

Ref MPGs: OEM 20s was in the 22-23 mpg range, but the current mpg calc in car has it at 19.7mpg. Seems about right maybe 2-3 mpg less. There is def a bit more noise than OEMs, but wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Go for it.

Were the existing valve stems on the BBS wheels compatible with the TPMS swapped from OEM wheels?

Almost went that way with our Heritage blue one too, the Phoenix FB marketplace has several sets of takeoffs available and while I've always loved that wheel and respect BBS forged quality ended up with Rays forged wheels. Nice look for sure.

Do the BBS wheels have the same offset as stock LC wheels?

Do you think the drop in MPG is due to the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, or the wheels?

No. The BBS are +47.5 and OEM 20s are +60. So 12.5mm diff (~0.5" less positive offset).

I run Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W (285/65r18), not the Nittos. Didn't have a chance to weigh the OEMs vs BBS, but anything was better than the 20s. fwiw, i checked the computer on the LC and after my daughters weekend of driving around town it was up at 22.3 mpg, so who knows. IMO its a trade-off of better looking rims than the 20s for slightly more road noise. Sort of like getting the FE roof rack (or similar). Functional and looks cool but expect more noise, mpg impact, etc.
