What’s the verdict on MPG when removing front tire air dams-without changing tires and rims?

Did anyone feel a difference of on-road stability between these two types of front air dams ??

This, along with the other air dam removal (how-to) thread, was a funny read. I've been slogging through various threads out of curiosity and find most interactions to be Tacoworld-lite. Hopefully this forum doesn't go full-Tacoworld.

IRT not hearing spouses/exes: This is a real thing. I am deaf in two specific frequency ranges due to long-term occupational exposure to electrical/electronic machinery. One of those happens to overlap some of my wife's vocal range (at least harmonically). Too bad it's only on my left side, because I still hear her clearly when she is being a passenger princess.

IRT these darn air dams. I went to remove them without consulting interweb gurus, but was immediately taken aback by their quality. I've never seen an air dam so substantial while simultaneously being so forgiving and malleable. I came here because it looks like someone dedicated their entire career toward their design and manufacture, thinking that they HAD to serve some additional purpose. Alas, they are indeed expendible, even if they are made of the material that should have gone on the door arm rests.
