TLC front seat belt chime annoying on short hop drives... How to squelch?

I had my dealer turn off the seatbelt chimes and enable the windows and sunroof to open with the key fob during my first service visit.

In hindsight I wish I'd not enabled the sunroof, just the windows.
I just asked my dealership to enable the remote window opening, and they wanted $80 to turn it on. Did yours do it for free?

Interesting, perhaps we've exposed either a regional or exact vintage difference in Land Cruiser or something in Carista or the OBD2 interface access?

I get 3 seconds of chime only at initial startup. I did have drivers seat only disabled (alarm helps encourage miscreant passengers to get in line) but went ahead and killed all seat's alarm as a test- 3 second chime at startup persists.

For my uses short/no chime with continued dash light warning is much preferred over brute-force hardware defeat (too strong a description for sticking a latch tongue into the latch but this approach leaves you more vulnerable to a bad outcome imo)
I noticed you have many (all?) nannies disabled in images, perhaps that's why you have chime for 3 secs. I do not have chime, but I only have half the nannies turned off.

Is that the default "instrument cluster" for the 2025? I like the look and was wondering if that is something I can change to on my 2024 or if I'm out of luck.

I have found several I dislike- possible the chime persists because of that. However, the 3 chime reminder is perfectly OK with me

It's "Meter Style" under the last menu item "Meter Settings" if you can change it. Possibly only on 12.3" instrument display?

Just looked at the full video(s) again and I don't think they are turned off. At the frozen end images it looks like they're off (warnings showing) but after the vehicle starts/completes POST, the indicators aren't illuminated.

Or did you mean in the Carista settings further up the thread?

I saw the the indicator lights for nannies illuminated. I paid attention today, and mine definitely doesn't beep

Yes, they did it for free but it was in for one of the covered 5k services at the time and not there only for windows and seat chimes.

If you do get your windows set to open with your fob, I'd recommended not doing the sun roof. I did both and having the windows cracked is not so bad if it starts raining. Sunroof, yeah. Either way you're heading out in the rain as there is, annoyingly, no close window option on the fob.

Nice. Good dealership. I was in for my scheduled 10k service and they still wanted to charge me. Ended up getting a Carista and was able to mod the LC plus my wife’s car, for less than the dealership. And good tip on the sunroof action. 👍
