Carista Full Customization List

Engine sound enchantment- is this the artificial noise when the truck is in electric mode? I would love to turn that off.

No- that engine sound enhancement is not present on the Land Cruiser.

The noise when driving on the traction battery is separate, and Federally mandated.

Can you imagine being completely blind, walking along with your white cane and being unable to differentiate tire hum from the noise generated by other vehicles in the vicinity and being struck by a hybrid or electric vehicle (especially a heavy one) at speed?

The speaker that produces this sound is near the front bumper. Disabling it will generate error codes and if found to be a contributing factor to a pedestrian incident could be very costly for all involved.

Need a little help figuring out which carista to get. There are 3 that I see. One is $69, one is $39, the other is $29. I can't figure out what the differences are. Does it matter which one I buy? Will they all do the same thing?

There are two OBDII modules offered by Carista. There is a subscription required to enable full functions from the Carista app.

I had an older VeePeak Bluetooth/WiFi OBDII reader left over from using the JScan app on my Jeep, and I'll be darned if it wasn't recognized by Carista and didn't work like a champ. I purchased that reader about eight years ago for about $30 and had no idea if it would work on the Land Cruiser until I tried it. The point? If the OBDII device you use is recognized by Carista and is compatible, you don't need to purchase their own branded device.

Got the Carista non Evo version. I didn't find it to be terribly slow as others have reported.

Corrected a few things and was done in 15 min. Driving around the neighborhood, without the seatbelt nag was strange. It was hauting me like it was desparate to return, but couldn't. It is in nag hell. Yay!

Are you able to remove the 5th wheel TPMS with this app? Hoping to correct the Malfunction that happened after removing my spare.

Don't believe so, you can correct this by removing the TPMS or buying an additional sensor and building a tube out of PVC piping and end caps just large enough for the sensor to fit in (valve stem on sensor can be removed) valve stem required on PVC tube. Once built and sealed with proper glue pressurize the tube with the same as the tires and your set once the new sensor is picked up or the old one is detected again. Place the tube anywhere inside and your GTG.

Probably have to go through the learning process in the manual, but if you use the old sensor it may just eventually pick it up.

^^^This is more meaningful then installing clips in the seatbelt retainers...
