@Shawn MA how do you like the skid plate set? How’s the quality? They seem to be cheapest set I’ve seen on the market so far.
Starting with the materials:
The skid plates under the front bumper, radiator, engine, transmission, and transfer case are all made from 8mm 5052 aluminum alloy (approximately 5/16" in U.S. thickness standards).
The skid plates for the fuel tank, lower control arms, rear shocks, and rear link areas are made from 5mm material (approximately 3/16").
In the aftermarket, skid plates are generally made from manganese steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy. We mainly specialize in aluminum alloy products, so I prefer not to say which material is “better,” as that would sound too much like self-promotion.
There is a Japanese content creator who has done extensive off-road testing with the LC250. They’ve installed almost a full set of our bumpers and skid plates. If you’re interested, you can check out their content.|
Moreover, I’d say his usage conditions are already pretty extreme for the LC250
(excluding the rock crawling activities that some off-road enthusiasts love).
