Hoping another can post a picture of the rear diff housing. Trying to settle the 8.2/9.5 debate for myself and hoping to bolt pattern will reveal an answer. Thanks in advance!

It is well know it has the 8.2. GX550 has the 9.5.

Yes, I’m aware of all the discussion about this issue and the Toyota docs people have posted. But I’ve still never seen anything that I would accept as a definitive answer.
I think the new 4Runner Trailhunter is also 9.5.
It's definitive. 8.2 diff cover is shaped differently, and matches what was in the Toyota docs and pictures of what is on the 250s.

I'm no mechanic, so can someone explain the diff between the two? (Pun intentional).
A larger gear experiences less stress and is therefore stronger. The 8.2 is plenty strong, this is really only relevant for people who slap giant 35"+ tires on these things.
