Remote Start + Heater = cold car?

Here is the response from brand engagement:

"Your 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser was not equipped with the ability to control defroster or heated seat options remotely.

The defroster and heated seat options are not labeled as a optional or premium package. Therefore, it is not part of a specific package and these features would only be available if the vehicle were equipped."

This must mean some functionality was added to later models to allow the seats and defroster settings to be set via the app.

Interesting - I spent an hour on the phone yesterday with the brand engagement center. One person told me I had both the climate and climate temperature module enabled. They indicated I needed to be transferred to another group to get it working. After a while on that call they indicated my car does not have that functionality. When I I indicated the first person said I had those two modules they said the modules would d able it but that my car wasn’t enabled.

Does anyone with a 2024 year LC have the ability to turn on/off heated seats and defrosters via the app?

Heating seats with remote start??

I've tried getting my heated seats to warm up with remote start daily for the last 2 weeks. They simply don't heat up until I get in, start the engine and turn the heated seats on. When I remote start, I first pull up the little arrow and select heated seats under "Climate" and the seat image...

Be sure to “save” your climate settings in the app. You must enable the heated seats and defrost then save settings. Front defrost turns off when the door is unlocked. Check it out, look in the vehicle at the climate settings before unlocking and opening the door.

Interesting, I was wondering why the front defrost is always off when I get in. Why would Toyota turn off the front defroster and not the back, or either defroster for that matter. I'll have to check this out next time by looking through the window to see if it's on before I get in.

2024 FE. In the app I’ve got temp control, heated seats, and defrosters front and rear. It all works nicely!

They are making sh*t up to get you off their tail. I have 2024 LC LC with premium package and those option are available.
