Nitto Terra Grappler G3

I did the less-popular side out also. You can check out all my pics on here for more, but here's one recycled from right after I got them.

It may be less popular, but it matches the LCโ€™s lines better.

You guys say shield side out, I see elephants. :) That's what I went with.
What does that mean? Iโ€™m getting my tires installed next weekend, Iโ€™ve been trying to find comparison pics of the two different sides to make my decisions. Having a hard time. Now you bring up elephants! lol

Note the font is different on each side. When I was deciding I had a friend tell me he liked the top one better because the font is better. I agree, but the sidewall tread is more obvious.

I'm planning to get these (next week I hope), to go on my stock 20" rims. I saw the conversation about which side to display outward, so I assume they are NOT directional then? And I prefer the "top" photo (not sure if that's the "shield" side or not).

visually on the "shield" side, the pattern seems thinner than the other side. not sure what if any potential extra protection the popular side offers over the other, but i think its cool you get a choice

Wise choice with the SL 275/70 18 G3s.
I put on General Grabbers which have been very good in that same configuration.
The new Pirelli Scorpion XTM also would be a good option.

Iโ€™ve been very happy with the G3s. Now around 15,000 miles in. Interesting side note. Iโ€™d been running them at 32psi. Had been averaging 19.7mpg. Recently had the LC serviced. When they rotated the tires, they inflated to 39psi. I seemed to have grabbed an extra mpg.

They look great on the truck, perform well off road, and provide a smooth ride on the highway.

Perhaps I missed it but are those 275/70R18 or 285/70R18 sized tires?
They are 275s.
Someone else ask that lately too.
Maybe they look beefier on the stock narrow wheels because they bulge out more than on aftermarket wheels which tend to be wider.

I think the combination of dirt and lighting make them look fatโ€ฆ and indeed they look fat. Itโ€™s a good look

I'm having the 275/65/20s installed today. What pressure is everyone running on these for the street? Also, if/when I go off-road, if I need to air down the tires, what is a safe pressure on the stock 20" wheels?

Just got the Terra Grappler G3 and love it so far.

275/65r20 Load E
No lift or level yet

I ordered them in the SL load. I paid for SL. However, when I got home and was looking at them, I noticed they are E. Oh well.

My big deciding factor was wanting a tire that was aggressive look, good ride (for an AT) and wet traction. I drove about 150 miles yesterday in stormy weather. It handled very good
