Nitto Terra Grappler G3

Been looking at replacing my stock tires. How is the road noise and feel on these?

275 70 18 G3 Land Cruiser noise question- please help soon, trying to decide on new tires? I had G3’s on my Ranger Tremor, they were great and much quieter than General AT EXCEPT at about 72-75 mph where I cruise mostly when on highway.

Are G3’s whiny at 70-75 on the LC?

happy with mine. Not getting any whine. I do have a lot of noise above 55 mph. I attribute this to the inverse B2-stealth profile of the Cruiser, a Prinsu rack with Baja Designs light bar, ditch lights, and the Nittos. Was considering doing the sound deadening to doors as help, but worry it’s an exercise in futility.

I notice a small humming noise, mostly around 60 mph, but don't notice it at 70+ mph probably because of the wind noise.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I loved my G3’s on the Ranger overall. Nothing is ever perfect (except my wife😂). The LC is quite boxy. The boxy body/mirrors wind noise doesn’t bother me.

Can’t wait to get mine, I’m waiting for the 5th 18” FE wheel to arrive before I can pull the trigger. A local guy wants my 20’s and Yoka tires for his Tundra. 🙂 Thanks everyone for input.

NM, did not critically review the output!

Have a '27 en route, will likely stick with OE tires for a minute to get used to the driveability of the truck (coming of a gX460) + wait for sales. Was hoping to get a sense from folks if this ChatGPT mock up looks relatively accurate in depicting a 275 vs a 265 tire. Understand this is rough, but looking mostly at how the larger tire fills the wheel wells. For those with either/each, can you weigh in? TIA!

I’m not going to lie, I don’t understand why you’d look for AI modeling when so many images of 275/70 and 265/70 examples exist on this forum. With that said, why is the AI modeling showing a .6” difference in diameter between the 265/70 michelin and 265/70 G3? Then another .6” between the 265/70 G3 and 275/70 G3? That would imply that the 32.6” michelin is 1.2” shorter than the 33.2” G3… but the math ain’t mathing. Seems like your AI failed arithmetic to me.

I don't think this video review was posted, so I'll add it for posterity.
Nitto Delivered 3 of 4 Things I Wanted - NITTO UPDATES

Once I wear most of the tread off the Ridge Grapplers, I'm definitely getting the G3s.
I plan to do the same, but jeez these ridge grapplers just aren't wearing fast enough. 24k miles and still have 75% tread. What about the pirelli scorpion XTM AT? I'm torn between the two.

Consider yourself lucky! My Ridge Graps were down to 5/32 with under 20k miles.

I think I am going to put G3s on my LC when the time comes (I just did a reset on that clock with these BBS wheel/tires). I did put a plus size set of Pirelli Scorpion XTM ATs on the wife's Sequoia and they are a solid contender. I don't think you can go wrong between the two. I had traction issues on my ridge graps after about 10k miles and I must admit I am gun shy with Nitto for that reason. These Pirellis are glued to the road.
